I thought I saw it was the FBI who was getting phone records of various congress persons and staff, in particular during the seige.
As Leo Tolstoi explained it in âWar & Peaceâ, Napoleon just could not live without war, and Russia was the only one left to fight with (England being an Island was unreachable). So fuck the climate, fuck the peace treaty, fuck the war weariness of his troops, he was going to invade Russia because he could not have it any other way. (Alexander the Great and Hitler shared Napoleon trait of need for perpetual war).
OT, but Faux News clearly coordinated a false messaging rollout to distract from this hearing and try to undermine Biden being successful fighting the virusâŚ
Meghan McCainâs inbox from the past couple of days is no doubt full of Faux News emailsâŚ
The paid trolls are also hard at work trying to sow distrust of any vaccination. After all, if they refuse to get it, Biden canât claim success giving it to them.
Ideally, they would have blockaded the approaches to the Capitol a long way away from it and forced the mob to divert. Water cannons, tear gas, and rubber bullets would have been helpful too. And if push really comes to shove, you evacuate the building and temporarily cede the space to the insurrectionists rather than massacre them, which is the entirely correct choice that they ultimately made.
Here we go -
Within hours of the storming of the Capitol on January 6, the FBI began securing thousands of phone and electronic records connected to people at the scene of the rioting â including some related to members of Congress, raising potentially thorny legal questions.
Using special emergency powers and other measures, the FBI has collected reams of private cellphone data and communications that go beyond the videos that rioters shared widely on social media, according to two sources with knowledge of the collection effort.
Stupid is as RonJon does.
If you watch carefully, you can see Ron Johnsonâs staffers remind him to breathe.
OK good, thanks. I would be astonished if they hadnât begun right away. Have to hear from everyone and then look at the stuff that doesnât jibe.
With the exception of hippies, antifas and BLMers of course. Those arenât even human much less civilian.
Update: Scout is having a good day today yâall. Itâs truly miraculous from last Thursday. Not out of the woods yet, but looks like he may stick around a little longer with good quality of life. Grateful fingers crossed.
I suspect that the arrival of a couple of thousand well armed National Guard who turn out to be not on their side might have given most of them second thoughts about their plan. Police in the doorways, the guard coming in from the other side might been very effective even with minimal force.
Of course, then authoritarian mobsters would have those optics of a turncoat military helping to pull off the steal, images that theyâd be milking for the rest of our natural lives. Instead we had brave outnumbered policemen literally laying down their lives for the republic. So to that degree, their plan may have backfired.
So glad to hear good news!
I was not in law enforcement. I am not a military vet. But, when I flipped on coverage that morning and saw no armed perimeter around the Capitol grounds, I was horrified and filled with dread. We knew ⌠viscerally ⌠what was to follow.
Am I the only viewer who gets a strong whiff of DeJoy-level weasel from Irving and Stenger? Eau de Ferret.
Those stupid cops, instigating a riot.
Not like those smart BLM riot police who would never do such a thing.
Through his gills âŚ
Walked 1/2 hour this morning, ate chicken without needing appetite stimulant, drinking water and got that damn big pill down him. Chillinâ here with me now. Itâs a no joke miracle. I donât want to describe the suffering he has been through last several days.
On my first arrival in Moscow in June of 86 I was greeted by a violent thunderstorm. I imagined it was Napoleonâs cannons.
On a scale of 1-to-100 for privacy concerns, this is a zero. The Capitol is wi-fi and celled to the hilt, and all that connectivity data either belongs to the feds already or is readily collectable by them. Itâs no different than the cops asking AT&T where the suspectâs phone was pinging at the time of the bank robbery.
Pro tip: Leave your phone at home if you want to rob a bank or engage in an insurrection.
âŚthe House Sgt at Arms knew and therefore Pelosi knew and therefore it is obviousâŚ
@bonvivant
All this five-dimensional chess gaming is making me woozy.
Quite different, if they just vacuumed up any and all cell phone data from the location, mixing in all of the authorized peopleâs data with the insurrectionists.
