What a view!
Composed of photographs by NASA astronaut Ron Garan (@astro_ron on Twitter) taken from the International Space Station from August to October 2011, German artist Michael Konig edited images of Earth into a spectacular time-lapse video. According to Konig, the images were taken from an altitude of about 200 miles above Earth with a high definition camera. Konig aimed to let the images speak for themselves in the video.“All in all I tried to keep the looks of the material as original as possible, avoided adjusting the colors and the like, since in my opinion the original footage itself already has an almost surreal an aestethical (sic) visual nature,” he wrote on the video’s caption.
