Warren: Voters Must Elect Dems Who Would Nix Filibuster To Codify Roe

Also, when you don’t have the votes (Manchinema!) it comes off as an empty threat.

@brooklyndweller and @ralph_vonholst:

Prior to sending this post I was all set on blaming the Dem Debacle in 2016 and the torpor of non voters.

I believe that this would be in error.

Josh (in an earlier essay) hinted at what Liz Warren is saying. We can do this and there are techniques available to get younger people to invest in this kind of direct messaging:

(1) Expand the House advantage in Democratic Congressional Seats
(2) Add two more United States Senators

And why, WHY, wouldn’t Biden expand the Court?

He may be against it right now, but I do not see that as a problem. It may be a feint so as not to get GOPers to believe that this is a strategy of HIS.

Congress must agree to expand the court.

It just isn’t something you do! (Future narrator: The GOP did it 19 months later, increasing its theocratic SCOTUS majority to a staggering 10-3.)

I know that. And I’m comforted by others here who say it could be just a feint; that makes sense to me.

I’m not holding my breath, but may it be so.

The SC Justices who ended Roe vs. Wade have all had no more than 2 children (except for Barrett.). So if Thomas wants to reconsider birth control he should be aware than it is likely that they all used birth control.

Uncle Clarence seems to be skilled at living with cognitive dissonance.

The muleheadedness (versus analytical/thoughtful) character of GOPers and Dems are amazing.

The former are born combatants. But the latter can fight TOO.

The J6 had a whale of a Session/Hearing on the past Thursday. But what I want call attention to is the two-hour recap on MSNBC at 8-10PM EDT. The panelists (O’Donnell, Maddow, Wallace, Reid, Melber) were brimming with confidence about their country.

So the Right throws us a haymaker and fortunately, someone like Warren arrives to fill the Gap.

Thanks Josh for your essay.

I would not be averse to Joe, citing his age and quality time with his family, resigning and turning over the reins to Kamela Harris. Yes people don’t like her. So what. If that happens tomorrow, the houses of congress will approve her new veep pick. If the pubbies take over both houses next January and something happens to Joe, they could possibly refuse to approve her pick for a new veep and then impeach her leaving us with ??? as president. I’m kinda always looking for worst case scenarios. I’m probably wrong.

51 votes are needed.

54 votes to nullify Manchin, Sinema and any surprises (Tester n others).

Congress does respond to pressure from voters if there is enough of it.

(CNN)Clarence House said Prince Charles received charitable donations and the correct processes were followed regarding those donations after a British newspaper reported the Prince of Wales once accepted a suitcase containing €1 million ($1.05 million) in cash from a Qatari politician.

That’s almost enough to buy a McMansion in the Catalina Foothills!

So did he spend time with Jeffrey Epstein too? Cause that’s what a suitcase full of money makes me think.
