Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-MA) said on Monday that President elect-Donald Trump and his transition team are already breaking the law specific to presidential transitions — by not adhering to it. “Donald Trump and his transition team are already breaking the law,” Warren wrote in a social media post on Monday. “I would know because I…

I think this is a very good point by Senator Warren and Representative Raskin.

That said, most people do not care about the technical details of the law. They knew they elected a felon.

I guess it will be useful to have in the hip pocket when something goes south because of the negligence.

The adviser also told CNN that Trump intends to sign the ethics pledge — a part of the law in question — but did not specify when he will do so.

Right after he releases the plan to replace Obamacare.

As if that matters any longer to the American people. They licensed him to break any and every law there is.

I’m sure the Ethics statement and MOUs are built into infrastructure week. So, no worries, coming soon.

They’ll likely just flout the law as one of their performative dominance shows. It’s low stakes, reinforces their “laws don’t bind us” stance, and who’s going to enforce it?

Remember the Hatch Act, Logan Act, etc? If no one, even Dems when they’re in power, will enforce the laws against these folks, what do they matter?

Anyway, it’s obvious that this administration would never honor an ethics policy regardless, but it’s just another dominance play reinforcing the message that they’re above the law and the institutionalists are impotent.

I love my Senator. And I’m glad she still has the energy to go after this stuff. Because I sure don’t. I both greatly appreciate the good people who remain in government and also feel deeply sorry for them.

and this:

soon to be legal corruption, I’m afraid.

Come on, boys and girls.I have always had a high opinion of Senator Warren, and Jamie Raskin is a Representative from my state. However, In my opinion, both would be better served by recognizing that woke Dems caused this mess, and work to correct it over the next 2 and 4 year cycles, instead of playing gotcha on irrelevant issues.

Pushing Trump to submit an ethics plan is sort of like pushing the late, great Hannibal Lecter to sign an oath of vegetarianism.

Meanwhile, a Trump adviser tried to downplay the skipped deadlines, saying it is “not at all a concern,” according to CNN.
The adviser also told CNN that Trump intends to sign the ethics pledge —

Presumably, after he’s been dictator “for a day” (or so.)
The law would have had to bar transition to the incoming administration to have gotten TeamDonnie to do anything it prescribed,

Any law or custom or rule that is inconvenient is promptly ignored. Remember Ms Warren that laws any laws do not apply to the God Emperor of Earth and never have and never will. He is beyond laws. Ya want an example? Yah? Ok then. Take for example the docs case. Classified docs found in donnie’s office in his Florida house that he stole while leaving DC as a private citizen
Three serious laws painfully obviously broken. Theft, obstructing doc return and the Espionage Act. The case was tossed by judge Cannon on the pretext that the Senate had not voted on Jack Smith’s special prosecutor status. No matter that had never once been the case with any special prosecutor since well before Watergate. “Flimsy” overstates the strength if Cannon’s reasoning.

Laws??? We don’t follow no stinkin’ laws.!

Basically MAGA propaganda. Sic the D center on its weakest, most marginal faction. Do MAGA’s work for it, and throw anti-MAGA into confusion.

Nice try by Sen Warren, but ignoring laws was what they ran on. This is the most dishonorable, corrupt, low-life piece of shit in US history, who showed and flaunted it each day, each minute of his run up to it, and a majority of Americans chose him.

His approval ratings will fall if he’s seen complying with a law.

Expel their teams from the Agencies and boot them back to Start in the Transition process if they don’t sign. It’s up to them. Begin with the disclosures tcf wa supposed to have already submitted in Sept/Oct. Are the institutions are responsible for enforcing their requirements or not?

THIS.

Whatever “it” is, it’s about to get a whole lot worse. The guardrails are gone. trump 2.0 is going to be worse than our worst nightmares. Among other things, every single trump appointee will be chosen to be the absolutely most unfit person for the agency they are chosen to head. The self-dealing is going to be off the charts too.
