The acting director of national intelligence threatened to resign over concerns that the White House might try to force him to keep Congress in the dark during upcoming testimony, the Washington Post reported Wednesday, citing unnamed current and former officials familiar with the matter.
“The Post reported Maguire’s threat of resignation was meant to force the White House’s hand on the decision of whether or not to invoke executive privilege.”
