NEW YORK (AP) — Walmart will require customers to wear face coverings at all of its namesake and Sam’s Club stores, making it the largest retailer to introduce such a policy that has otherwise proven difficult to enforce without state and federal requirements.
Today a Wal-Mart spokesperson announced that Wal-Mart would close the barn door. The spokesperson did not mention the horse, which left the barn six months ago. As the Wal-Mart employee closed the barn door, flames began to lick through the roof of the barn.
Oh boy, do I feel bad for the Wal-Mart Health Ambassadors whose job it is to turn away non-masked customers. They are going to be the target for so many idiots’ aggression.
So as soon as some Walmart employee tells a customer they’ll have to leave I’m afraid some of them will start pulling out their 2nd Amendment remedy. I can’t help but feel like we’ve been here before. I hope in red state America they can pull this off and I commend Walmart for doing so. Too bad it took them this long. Various states are making them do it anyway so it doesn’t hurt to look like you support the state you do business in.
Btw, do they still sell guns and ammo at Walmart? I don’t ever shop there so I have no idea. If so, you’ll find the no mask folks probably lined up shoulder to shoulder in that aisle.
You mean the folks that hate wearing masks or buying stuff made in China because Donald says not to, and now are fucked because Walmart ran all their competition out of their small rural town…hey may be they can go to Dollar General/Tree. Have they started requiring mask to go in and buy the Chinese made stuff they sell?
“Walmart joins a growing list of retailers that have instituted mask mandates throughout their chains. Best Buy, the nation’s largest consumer electronics retailer, announced Tuesday that it will have a mask mandate for its customers at all of its stores. Starbucks announced last week that customers who visit its company-owned café locations in the U.S. will be required to wear face coverings. Both policies were in effect Wednesday.”
A retailer here, a town there, eventually, maybe next year, we’ll be where Hong Kong, S Korea, and New Zealand were months ago. By that time there could be a million dead and many more million survivors with long-term debilitating conditions. Go USA!
Good for them. A company this large can shift the cultural perception. I just hope they have security, preferably armed, on premises. No doubt there will be confrontations, and you cannot leave enforcement to the minimum wage paid employees.
