Glox News?
To be fair, Wallace, like Shep Smith, has always been a bit independent and more in the real world than the average Fox employee, so it’s not surprising he would say this. He’ll be the leading edge of Fox trying to prepare to turn on Trump when the time is right…they will definitely want to stick the last knife in him in an attempt to preserve their position.
As I said yesterday, think USSR declaring war on Japan after the US dropped nukes in WW2…Fox will hold out until it’s clear Trump is done, then pivot to helping tear him down while buoying the rest of the Republican party. They will lead the effort to rehabilitate Republicans, in order to try to get the base to forget that the Republicans stuck with Trump and that he was the champion. I don’t think the base will go for it, they love Trump and not the party…it will serve Fox right to get torn apart along with Trump.
Just make sure not to hurt Tucker’s feelings…
WTF?!?

The Trump Circus … Our Spinning Will Astonish and Amaze!

Wallace is in CYA mode, he’s a shadow of his father who took few prisoners. If Faux abandoned Bluto he would be well and truly fornicated, just him and his inane tweeting into the void. Here’s hoping advertisers sniff the bullshit in the wind and start jumping.
It isn’t fascinating. But it is interesting.
One possible factor, just spitballing here, is that there are rumblings of over-saturation from the audience. I don’t know how much more Trumpian content they absorb than we do, but frankly it’s entirely possible, given his incredibly boring and never-varying routine, that it’s becoming too much of a good thing. If you were trapped in a small plane with him going over the Rockies or something you’d be going so crazy after 45 minutes of that yammering you’d have to fight the impulse to open the door and step out into the nothingness, just to hear the blissfully non-verbal air rushing past your ears as you fell, smiling, toward the sweetness of death.
I’m willing to give Wallace some latitude. I’m also willing to post another L. Cohen song…
…
I can’t run no more
With that lawless crowd
While the killers in high places
Say their prayers out loud
But they’ve summoned, they’ve summoned up
A thundercloud
And they’re going to hear from meRing the bells that still can ring
Forget your perfect offering
There is a crack, a crack in everything (there is a crack in everything)
That’s how the light gets in…
Every last one of them defending Trump sound desperate. exhausted, and afraid. They’re trying to dismiss the complaint as gossip and claiming it’s all secondhand information. Never mind the fact that the transcript notes released by the WH actually confirm one of the incidents cited in the complaint. It’s a stunningly bad strategy when we know there are witnesses. They’re just going to continue getting humiliated again and again when each one of their defenses falls apart. It’s like watching the White Walkers on Game of Thrones. Just a bunch of angry zombies slavishly following their king. Oh, but here comes Nancy with the dagger.
You know Matt it is something to reflect on. Even MSNBC is too much sometimes The same subject discussed by different talking heads every hour , even when nothing has changed. That’s the magic word BORING
You get burned out no matter what your political persuasion and you find yourself flipping over to AMC for some Classic Movie escapism
Alexandra Pelosi on mother Nancy:
“She’ll cut your head off, and you won’t even know you’re bleeding.”
You know it’s really fucking loud right?
Upton Sinclair: " It is difficult to get a man to understand something when his salary depends upon his not understanding it!"
It would be something like being forced to watch Howard Cosell on an endless video loop. Probably be deemed ‘cruel and unusual’.
In any case, Will Rogers never met either Howard Cosell or Donald Trump.
Shhh it’s never portrayed that way and b) so is he and the rushing wouldn’t last forever. Always quibbles here do I have to get my poetic license out officer?
