I would have thought, given what has come out about Herschel and his various lies and paid for abortions compared to the squeaky clean Mr Warnock that Herschel would be nearly missing in the polls and Warnock far far ahead. Apparently voters in Georgia are rather hardheaded. Not only does Herschel lie and “play around” he is about as intelligent as a brick. Not the sort I would want in the Senate.

That Warnock is up by 4 points in the polls while Abrams is down by 4 tells you pretty clearly that candidate quality does matter. And I bet if you had to choose between a barely-sentient brick who would be a reliable vote for all things Dem and a Republican, you would go with the hunk of masonry every time. So would I.
