‘Voter Disenfranchisement’: Judge Excoriates Trump Admin’s ‘Partisan’ USPS Changes | Talking Points Memo

A federal judge on Thursday tore into the Trump administration and Postmaster General Louis DeJoy for using the United States Postal Service as “a tool in partisan politics” and instituting changes that the judge found would disenfranchise voters and diminish confidence in the upcoming elections.

Judges have their positions because they are supposed to be judicious, fairly judicious. Some are, some aren’t. This one is.

We know about DeJoy.

But who is “USPS’ Board of Governor’s, Lee Moak,” who is quoted here?

He’s a lobbyist! See https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lee_Moak . Formerly an airline pilot.

So, he flew planes that delivered the mail. Perfectly qualified to serve on the USPS Board of Governors. How in the hell is he really going to know what DeJoy is up to? Is Moak going to some Post Offices as a “secret boss” to find out what’s really going on? That would be nice.

Legally speaking, this order is AMAZING. Interlocutory appeal is to the 9th Circuit, and of course, everything depends on John Roberts (who, I am guessing, probably harbors no deep partisan feelings about the operation of the Post Office).

Excoriate is such a woody word. Especially when it’s used on Fat Nixon…

I thought it was obvious what trump/DeJoy were trying to do.

CDC testing guidance was published outside normal review process, sources say

From CNN’s Dr. Sanjay Gupta and Ben Tinker

“A heavily criticized recommendation from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention last month about who should be tested for the coronavirus was not written by C.D.C. scientists and was posted to the agency’s website despite their serious objections,” according to a report published Thursday by The New York Times.

A source has now corroborated this story to CNN’s Dr. Sanjay Gupta, confirming that the document regarding testing was sent to the CDC by the US Department of Health and Human Services.

We cannot trust our government to look out for us at all. They have gone all in to save trump’s fat ass.

Roberts is smart enough to understand that the USPS is a critically essential piece of commercial infrastructure.
I don’t anticipate a “post postal” response from Roberts.

Wonderful. Now, who is going to make sure DeJoy follows this order?

Anyone? Anyone? Bueller???

This is spectacular. Judges don’t usually state the obvious in plain, unvarnished language. This could start a trend that would render the Supreme Court moot.

Although this is a civil case, the behavior pattern it lays out could/should be a basis for multiple criminal prosecutions in 2021.

“Today’s victory protects a critical institution for our country,” Ferguson said in a statement Thursday evening. “Americans can now confidently vote by mail and have their voices heard.”

Bull crap
When has trump bothered about laws or injunctions?
I will not trust the post office to deliver my ballot.
Drop the mike
I am gonna hand deliver it to my county recorder’s office as I have posted several times/

So, what happens when DeJoy and the rest of Trump’s Butt-Monkeys ignore the ruling (like they have for every other ruling from the Courts)?

Will Bill Barr’s DOJ prosecute DeJoy for Contempt of Court?
Of course not. He will, instead, ignore it, and rail against “Activist Democrat Judges” and demand the Judge be Impeached and removed from office, while at the same time, he will intervene in the case, and demand to take over from the states, then drop it.
Just like his Dark Master Trump demands; Fealty from All, Responsible to None.

…and lets not forget there are 1/2 million jobs in the USPS (and the people who rely on that income), who these jerks are using as a tool. And they brag about saving a handful of mining jobs.

And now to the Appeal to the 9th Circuit where Trump has been able to appoint 10 new justices to do his bidding…

But her emails…
