I hope this isn’t another attempt to push the Dems into making false accusations, like String’s attempt. After that, I expect the Dems will be very careful in believing Volker’s testimony. OTOH, it sounds like Volker wants to get even with Pompeo so he may have the real dirt. Keep an eye on Pompeo and Trump’s reactions to tell which it is.

My recollection is a bit fuzzy, but I seem to recall some people called by committees to testify, ex-government employees, were somehow blocked or impeded by Trump from appearing. By what legal mechanism I’m unsure. And now the administration has made it known they prefer Volker not appear, yet he is.
I’m curious how Volker is sidestepping hurdles that have stymied others in appearing before the House.

It was inevitable it would come to this. Took long enough though. Volker is no Mueller or Cohen. Unlike Mueller he doesn’t give a damn if he upsets Trump or baby Trump and unlike Cohen he’s clean. He’s unafraid too. Being a GOP’er helps as well. This is the guy the Trump clan should have been looking out for but instead jacked with him making him not just unafraid but also pissed off. I hope and pray he has at least one good bombshell to reveal today.

This is all part of the inquiry. It seems Pompeo is just as clueless as Trump when it comes to dealing with people. If he didn’t see this blow back coming he is dumb as a box of rocks.
Did he really graduate 1st in his class at West Point?

Your question is faulty. Whenever asking the name of someone in Trump’s employ it must be phrased :
“Somebody refresh my memory. Who is Trump’s Acting (fill in the blank) now?”
