What was that line again, about a wolf in sheeps’ clothing?

What happens when this thing morphs into something much more lethal?

The stuff is really going to hit the fan.

I have friends who caught it pre-vax and still can’t taste or smell. No thanks.

Youngkin looks and acts like a mini-Bolsonaro.

What the hell was Virginia thinking?

Anyone who thought Youngkin was a moderate Republican and therefore an acceptable risk needs to reassess their analysis as well as their definition of what ‘moderate’ and ‘acceptable’ mean these days.

Anyone who is still openly Republican these days has declared themselves okay with what that means now. Believe them.

“So over the course of this week, I hope they will listen to parents, because we will use every resource within the governor’s authority to explore what we can do and will do in order to make sure parents’ rights are protected,” the GOP governor told local news outlet WTOP.

"…will do in order to make sure RWNJ school boards are protected,…”

Fixed it for me.

So tired of this scheisse.

Youngkin, who signed the ban immediately upon being sworn in on Friday, claimed the Arlington school officials “haven’t listened to [one screamingly ignorant subset of] parents.”

So what about all of the parents who don’t want their children to get sick? Do they have any rights? What do parents’ “rights” have to do with public health? When did we pass the point of no return on the way to Crazytown?

I’m guessing (just a guess) that the dominant idea among Virginia voters in electing this idiot was

“how bad can he be??”

As ALWAYS, they’re about to find out the hard way. For many American voters, there’s this vague idea of Rethugs as still being sane and worthy of consideration.

But of course.

Asshole.

I should thank Youngkin for stepping into this. His brazen hypocrisy and his willingness to shill for the far right will wake up suburban voters in VA and perhaps across the country. Things like this can help keep the Dem coalition together b/c it clarifies where the GOP stands, even the ones who pretend to act like Mr. Rogers.

Personally, I put the point of no return at Dec. 12, 2000. But there are so many choices it’s almost arbitrary.
