Like the price of eggs, it may not be anything he really gives a shit about. There’s a big difference between what Trump promises and what his handlers allow him to do. He’s a lame duck, now. He doesn’t have to be a populist anymore

I was happy when he failed to pardon any of them before he left the first time. I figured it would screw him from ever being able to get out the MAGA vote. I completely underestimated their stupidity (and I had zero respect for their intelligence to begin with).

Donald Trump is just throwing off chaff to cover up his eventual pardoning of violent criminals of J6. Eventually he will pardon them all and when asked say he pardoned the nonviolent ones. If pressed further, he will say they were all nonviolent.
If there is a press report from major media, it will simply report what Donald Trump said, but not all the facts.
This is all so predictable, we have seen this show many times before.

You may want to recall that he was being impeached for J6 at the time. Preemptive pardons might not have gone over very well with the Senate.

True, McConnell is pretty consistent. However, the thread was not about Donald Trump, it was about McConnell. He wanted to keep power, and if that means letting Donald Trump run free, even when Donald wanted his Vice President killed and he had instigated a violent insurrection where people died, then so be it.
