The Vindman’s are the kind of immigrants that came from humble beginnings and pulled themselves up, served our country and is acting lawfully!
In contrast, the Faux News, RepubliCONS, and MAGAts are demagoguing a progeny of an immigrant who was a racist, never served our country, set up decades of systematic and repeated tax fraud. The progeny went on to be racist, a sexual predator, claimed bankruptcy 5x, never served the country also due to fake bone spurs, self-dealt with his charity, systematic tax fraud…betrayed his oath of office, betrayed his country, caged children, separated immigrant families…facilitated genocide of our ally…violated public trust, committed public corruption…on and on with unlawful and criminal acts! That kind of criminally inclined immigrants are not the kind of immigrants that America needs!

Well… Republicans definitely supported military spending, and saying nice things about service members, but they also supported George W Bush’s budget requests for the VA - that underfunded the organization at a critical time when veterans of World War 2 and Korea were needing more health care as they aged, and wounded warriors from Iraq and Afghanistan were joining them as new patients.

Obviously they have (and will) come at this brave man (physically and morally brave!) with as wide a selection of slurs as they can imagine. As they have with Taylor and every other person who has been prepared to talk on the record. And they will keep doing it. But with each new person they need to trash to protect their version of Trump the fewer and fewer people will listen. The base is solid but it can become fed up with having to twist in ever more tight circles to follow the line and opt into the wake me in 2024 group. With a base as narrow as Trump’s that will not help.
