Technically, what TFG might get charged with is suborning a state official to commit fraud. And possibly conspiracy to do same since there are multiple parties to that call on his end.

Since the Jan6 committee can make criminal referrals to the DOJ, how many here think any of those referrals will be for TFG’s crimes?

Just guessing here, but I doubt the committee will make any criminal referrals. All the information will be out in the open. Then the DOJ can decide on whether there is enough evidence (including their own internal investigations) to convince a jury on a specific charge related to statute law.

Avoiding criminal referrals also allows the committee to maintain its status as a neutral investigation and not a political one.

Looks like three hearings this week, but not in prime-time, Of course those of us who are able will be watching live, but most of the country will not be able.

It’s my understanding, based on this AM’s twitter scrolling and previous posters’ replies, that the networks are planning to re-air a given morning’s hearings on evening prime-time. This would be the best of both worlds, and significantly aid virality (which we want).

I am not a @galawyer. She’s sure proceeding like there’s something serious there. I just don’t see a meaningful felony in the Georgia Election Code, and I think the chances of a state-level RICO prosecution are unlikely.

That I suspect what you meant is misdemeanor from an individual stance, or a lone GA person acting within the state, and a single instance.

But it is likely Chump acted as a Federal official, from out of state, with possible coordination of multiple participants, and more than just one instance.

I will start the laundry soon and that will force me to move around. It’s so hot here that there isn’t that much I can do besides spend time here and I haven’t spent much time here the last week because I’ve had all kinds of appointments. We’re getting ready to go to Taos.
And I got a 2d booster and got Moderna this time and it kicked my ass. So I was keeping appointments with the worst reaction I’ve ever had. hahaha
