Van Drew Says He Decided To Defect To GOP Over Pressure To Vote For Impeachment

Rep. Jeff Van Drew (R-NJ) finally explained on Sunday what exactly prompted him to break away from the Democratic Party: The pressure to vote to impeach President Donald Trump.

Now you can have independent thinking in ttump cult!

ps. Glad that it wasn’t House leadership who pressured him, which would be a bad look.

If he wants to pledge undying support to Trump, how does that give him independence of opinion? Let’s be honest, he thought he would do better in his district as a Republican than a Democrat. Nothing more than that.

Because if there’s any movement that encourages politicians to think for themselves it’s Trumpism!

The bowel movement!

Van Drew officially switched to the Republican Party the day after he voted against impeaching Trump as a Democrat on Wednesday.

This gives the game away. If he really disliked the pressure campaign, he could have and should have changed Party affiliation immediately and voted “no” as a Republican. But it was more important to hand Trump a talking point.

I doubt this guy will be in Congress much longer as neither Party has much respect for him. He’s the antithesis of the story on Senator Jones posted earlier today.

“‘You’ve got to vote for impeachment,‘” Van Drew quoted the chair as saying. “‘If you don’t, you’re not going to be able to run in my county.’”

So he voted with the R’s to save his seat… there is no other way to spin this

Drew will soon realize the Dems DO NOT need his pissy trading gop ass to win his district!

Before this guy, I thought Lindsey Graham had evoked the maximum amount of revulsion-mixed-with-pity.

Hail to the new Winner.

I sure hope Drew does take traitorous Gabbard with him! Trump is turned on by her lackey betrayal towards the Democrat Party!

SHE’S WORTHLESS!

Graham will not take this showboating lying down. He will no doubt rise up to his knees to secure alpha daddy’s graces.

But he’s not going to win his Senate seat! He can have his criminal’s grace all he wants but it will NOT secure his senate seat!

Oh, Drew will attain fame of a sort.

Remember Rudolph Hess?

Ah. So he’s going to the GOP because diversity of thought and freedom to vote one’s conscience are so valued there. Cool, cool.

I saw this a bit differently. I actually believe him when he said he felt pressured to impeach. The fact that he voted NO, and then switched parties tells me that he did, in fact, vote his conscience, and furthermore, that he simply does not believe in Democratic values, or for what’s best for this country. He is not a Democrat, and as others have already said, good riddance!

Good riddance, indeed.

Van drew will soon learn the wisdom of an old Latin proverb:
qui cum canibus concumbunt cum pulicibus surgent .

or, “If you lie down with dogs, you get up with fleas

Enjoy the dog house.
