Vaccine Politicization Was Just One Of Pro-Biden, Ex-Pence Aide’s Final Straws

Former Pence adviser Olivia Troye has said concern over President Donald Trump’s attempts to politicize the COVID-19 vaccine approval process is among the top reasons that she finally resigned from her post in the Trump administration in July.

Pence is such a dim bulb - disgruntled? That’s all he’s got? Good lord.

In Trump’s defense, those people at his rallies are disgusting.

If someone tells you on November 13th it’s OK to go down to the local CVS and get a COVID vaccine what are you going to do?

Nasty is a given. He doesn’t even have to say that part out loud. Everyone agrees.

This definitely calls for a comment from brave Sir Pencelot, last seen bravely running in the other direction.

This lady was not only one of his chief staffers, but also a lead staffer on the Coronavirus task force. It would seem the disease that infects Trump staffers, causing them to lash out upon resignation, has now spread to Pence. And, judging by all the people coming out of the woodwork, it appears to be its own version of a pandemic.

It’s great and all that they’re coming out this way and I hope it damages Trump horribly, but I still can’t help wanting to lock them all in a dark room for a few days while the words 'WE TOLD YOU SO" get played over and over and over on a loudspeaker.

If he’d happened to say “deplorable,” rather than disgusting, we’d have a week of non-stop news coverage over him disparaging those people…

Oh wait. Silly me, never mind. Those rules don’t apply to him.

Let’s hear from some more of them unless they’re taking the coward’s way out. Maybe they’ve removed all the mirrors in their homes.

“There were a lot of closed door conversations I have had with a lot of senior people across the administration where they agree with me wholeheartedly,” she said of her assessment of Trump.

Since Troye came out yesterday, I’ve been trying to think how we should respond. We don’t want to trash them completely, because they have come to see at least a glimmer of light, and we want to encourage more to come out.
However, I don’t think someone who has been wrong wrong wrong wrong wrong right is as decent a person as someone who has been right right right right right right.
So, I think my current strategy is to say, “Welcome to the light; we’re glad you’re here. You may be seen now in the company of decent people, as long as you behave yourself, but you still have to spend the rest of your life atoning for your previous evil works.”
Then I think, “But, shit, she had no problem with families being ripped apart at the border or children in cages, so to hell with her.”
As you can see, I’m conflicted.

Well, SURE. But of course, Trump never ‘knew’ her, Pence thinks she’s just ANOTHER ‘disgruntled’ employee in a long long line. Now for my ‘rant’…I just went down for my flu shot, shingles shot and an additional TDAP since I was there…all ‘free’ since I have insurance. The shingles shot is a series so he told me to come back in 2-6 months and I said I’d do it by December because I was thinking about retiring…He said to be sure and do it because it would cost me $200 without my insurance. I asked him what poor people did…and of course, the answer is ‘they don’t get it’. There are many reasons to be madder than hell at the Republicans and their titular head but for them to be screwing with insurance in a time of pandemic is absolutely egregious. VOTE VOTE VOTE!

“one more disgruntled employee,”

At a certain point that phrase means the management of your office, firm or business sucks.

If all former employees are disgruntled, perhaps the bosses are a-holes who can’t manage.

Yes, the almighty football leagues have access to fast and easy tests. These same tests should be available en masse to every public school district, college and universities in the country. Instead college athletics is prioritized over actual learning. I am so pissed off about this.

“One more disgruntled employee” says it all. One more implies that they are all jumping ship. At some point Kelly and Mattis have to come out of the shadows and validate the demeaning language used by the “dear leader:.

Gee, someone working in the White House for Pence and Trump who really cares about saving lives . . . . No wonder she had to leave.

Congratulations Ms. Troye.

Somehow “disgusting” seems mild, even when joined with “suckers and losers.”

  1. We note with interest that Pence says nada & zilch about the whole Executive Branch Cult currently “play(ing) politics during an election year.”

  2. And how Trump & the Senate are letting Russia "play politics during an election year,” too, without accountability.

  3. Pence needs a spanking (a beating, really) from his Mother.
