The United States Postal Service’s internal investigator will review controversial new policy changes at USPS, as well as whether the GOP donor-turned-Postmaster General Louis DeJoy has complied with ethics rules.
Somebody needs to make sure that the gleichschaltung stops at the doors of the USPS…the attacks on this vital service are several billion miles beyond outrageous.
Meant to marginalize POC’s and Libs votes, delay delivery to Vets, seniors and other Americans of their medicines and damage companies who rely on USPS like Amazon who owns Wapo (which the one who need not be named hates)!
Trump blew the pandemic. Now, he’s desperate to direct everybody’s attention to that “neither rain, nor sleet, nor snow, nor gloom of night” thing. It’s not looking good.
The postal service is one of the authentic original American hero stories. More than anything — especially any man or administration — the Postal Service has just worked.
Despite Republicans trying to kill it, instead of growing it.
A post office mail box needs maintenance, who knew? I mean a drop or two of WD-4O , but to pick up several boxes and haul them away sounds real fishy unless they were all hit by a vehicle. I’m trying to figure out if any mail boxes in my town have been removed, ever.

I remember reading about the Pony Express as a young boy in absolute awe at their courage and dedication to their duty. And now, Trump is crippling them to bring that august institution down to his corrupt, self-serving level. I hope they are able to withstand this assault on their mission, and beyond that, on their noble traditions. Millions of Americans continue to depend on them, as the men and women that form the backbone of the postal service well know.
Anyone else see Sen. Collins’ comments? She sent — no joke — a letter expressing her “concern” to the Postmaster General. But no, not “concern” about the concerted effort to sabotage the USPS’ core functions and efficiency. Nope — her “concern” was that the current delays were a threat to the financial viability of the USPS as a going concern.
That’s right — she’s so concerned about the delays in service that instead of being concerned enough to stop the sabotage, she’s instead concerned that the result could be the end of the postal service. Dear Senator Collins: That’s what they want, you fucking imbecile. It’s like warning Trump that if he doesn’t take action to stop it, the Russians will interfere in the election. That’s the point, Senator Fuck-wit.
Collins’ “concern” is simultaneously oblivious and dishonest. Typical GOP approach — complain about a public service or program, then do everything they can to undermine and sabotage that service or program, and then use the resulting problems as an excuse to further undermine the same service or program.
Maine, please rid us of this doddering phony once and for all this fall.
They have a Constitutional duty to take mail from every person every day, and take it where it needs to go, certainly and quickly. (ed: Like a bank, when you think about it.)
If Jack Kemp had embraced THAT entrepreneuralism — selflessness — I could have joined the Republican Party ; - )
Nah. Just kidding about that… lol… Full Disclosure: I just joined the ACLU (apparently) and Donald Trump is a felon.
“What’s going on at the Post Office right now may or may not involve criminal conduct or ethics violations, but the statute of limitations for fed’l crimes is 5 years, which means if Biden is elected, it’s all coming out. No Postal employee should comply with an illegal order.”
Our last real President has spoken. He’s spoken to David Plouffe about this. Thread below.
Everyone depends on the USPS. Seniors for their Social Security, veterans for their prescriptions, small businesses trying to keep their doors open. They can’t be collateral damage for an administration more concerned with suppressing the vote than suppressing a virus.
Given the stakes, I’m pretty sure it would only take about 48 hours for the rest of the world to rustle up a “Live Aid” style benefit concert to lavishly fund the US Postal Service through Election Day.
Sort of a “Concert for Bangladesh”, but to raise relief funds for America – to rid the world of Trump.
C’mon, Bob Geldof, the world needs you now more than ever!
He has too many conflicts of interest to hold this position. First of all his company has been a USPS contractor for at least 10 years. There are more conflicts of course. They are way too numerous to list them all.
But his interests isn’t satisfying the general public!
