Provided community engagement by trolling on X—purely in the name of intellectual debate, of course.
Boosted firm morale with a carefully curated Instagram feed… exclusively featuring my cat in various legal-themed poses. (Objection! Too cute to handle.)
Optimized workflow by staring at an email for 15 minutes, deciding to deal with it later, and then closing my laptop for a well-earned break.

On a more mundane level, the subtext of Enrich’s revelations is that Rubio and the administration have been less than fully candid with federal courts handling cases challenging the USAID freeze, the sacking of most of its staff, and the termination of most of its contracts.

[O]n Wednesday, Rubio and Marocco completely ended nearly 10,000 aid programs in one fell swoop — including those they had granted waivers just days earlier — saying the programs did not align with Trump’s agenda. The move consigns untold numbers of the world’s poorest children, refugees and other vulnerable people to death, according to several senior federal officials. Local authorities have already begun estimating a death toll in the hundreds of thousands.

Possible, but Trump may just be jettisoning all the Ukraine baggage, preferring to take on Hemispheric Dominance and abandoning Asia, Europe and Africa. Not a word about the people cut off from USAID, or the mounting death toll. He’s happy to let other autocrats run little regional empires and completely dominate the Western Hemisphere plus Oceania.

Texas trying to distract from measles outbreak and generally shitty governance by a shitty, execrable political party by inventing a cut of meat.
While Texas grapples with its worst measles outbreak in decades, its Republican lieutenant governor has moved for the state’s restaurants and groceries to change the name of the “New York strip” steak cut to the “Texas strip” in what he evidently hopes is a blow to liberals.
Dan Patrick announced on Friday on social media that he intended to go to Texas’s senate and work with lawmakers to pass a resolution favoring the switch – which would not carry the force of law but nonetheless would amount to a substantial statement of legislative support.
