This is unsustainable. If Trump is not subjected to the Rule of Law, he will further damage the fabric of this country.

A free people cannot live under armed threat.

No doubt another True American taking his Kampf to the den that breeds the Enemies of the People.

Trump’s America. He told us this place was a hellscape when he accepted the nomination, and he’s doing everything he can to bring it about.

Let’s hope he’s Amish. I need a new class of villian to fear, these garden variety bigots are starting to bore me.

Guy with a gun was likely upset with a USA Today pie chart that showed 98% of people like him really want to storm a building with a gun and shoot people because he’s mad.

The remaining 2% hope they’re the victims, because they’re really sick and tired of it all.

Wonder if it’s somehow related to this from two days ago. Huge mega-merger about to happen. Sometimes that means layoffs.

Or…it could just be another crazy person, or tRump supporter, or some passerby with an AK-47.

Ah, the “disgruntled employee” trope.

Probably Mennonite. You have to drive to get anywhere in McClean. Horse and buggy just won’t do.

Doubt it. There are God only knows how many laid-off journalists, since readership has been declining since the early '80s. And if they went after anyone it would be the owners and publishers, and the killings would happen on a golf course because they’re never in the building.

ETA evidently it’s a corporate headquarters, and no editorial people work there.

Not like Donnie Moscow has been castigating the media lately, so it’s more likely something to do with Liz or Bernie.

Did he have a bone saw? Or just an AR15?

I think the accurate term is “going postal”.

But back then according to Wikipedia,

Between 1986 and 2011, workplace shootings happened at roughly two per year, with an average of 12 people killed per year.

Seems that was in “the good old days” of gun violence.

OT. Damn…there are opposing chants of peace and love…against U.S.A…outside the bar in Dayton. donnie really brings the joy with him, huh?

People, please. Relax. This was likely one of the good guys with a gun, trying to protect people. It’s easy to see the difference.

Left wing political violence had pretty much disappeared after the Viet Nam War Era. But folks are pissed at the GOP and it’s minions. I’m a little worried that it will return. Wouldn’t surprise me a bit if there’s sabotage and monkey wrenching of “Wall”. DHS is already starling with preliminaries to construction along the border in Organ Pipe Cactus Nat. Monument. The Tohono O’Otham are not happy. Neither are a lot of other people.

Good Lord.
Still, why doesn’t stuff like that surprise me anymore?

Slaps own face…I cannot allow myself to become inured to this shit.

I would suggest that the right would LURV for their provocations to result in left wing retaliation for all sorts of reasons, mostly as rationalization for beloved and massive return fire.
