Worth pointing out that the winners of history to date would have all the money, and the rich in New York and London - the twin poles of the real world - are Protestant.

I’m looking at it through an evolutionary lens. How evolved are we today, what’s the arc of our development and what that means.

I don’t believe the RC church was policing the sheds of inventors and holding back the intellect of such a diffuse congregation. I think the rich became a lot richer and decided they’d have a Bible of their own. The rest was messaging and money.
