US Carries Out First Federal Execution In Nearly 20 Years | Talking Points Memo

TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (AP) — The U.S. government on Tuesday carried out the first federal execution in almost two decades, putting to death a man who was convicted of killing an Arkansas family in a 1990s plot to build a whites-only nation in the Pacific Northwest. The execution came over the objection of the victims’ family.

At their 1999 trial, prosecutors said Kehoe and Lee stole guns and $50,000 in cash from the Muellers as part of their plan to establish a whites-only nation.

The morons at the BoP just executed the guy Tucker Carlson was planning to hire as lead writer…

The little old ladies of the GOP will be loving this. It’s literally killing a man in order to gain votes.

There is no humanity on the Right. They are a bad-faith organization using churches to underwrite hate radio, poisoning the people.

I met too many good folk in my years working in the hinterland. It’s not their fault they turn on the radio on the way to work and spend a few decades with poison dripping in their ears.

The only way out of this cancerous situation is to fully investigate every aspect of GOP funding, and to bar churches from non-profit status.

So much for the “Pro-Life” party.

If we Dems get the House, Senate and Exec, we can get rid of the DP.
No, it won’t ruin anything for the Dems, just save $millions on this barbaric practice. Substituting life sentences would be a start.

The attorney general said last July that the Obama-era review had been completed

“I mean, those slowpokes looked at it for years, and I got it wrapped up in no time at all.”

Except for those imposed on Stone. As for Flynn . . . let’s not even bother with a sentence.

Fucking hypocritical GOP pile of pus and shit.

A U.S. District Court judge put a hold on Lee’s execution on Monday, over concerns from death row inmates on how executions were to be carried out, and an appeals court upheld it, but the high court overturned it.

went off after a series of legal volleys that ended when the Supreme Court stepped in early Tuesday in a 5-4 ruling and allowed it to move forward.

Lest we forget because of some of his recent votes, Roberts is perfectly happy to let the Feds execute the man during a pandemic.

Well, I feel so much better. This is going to bring his victims back to life, right? Right?? Once again, 45 demonstrates his complete lack of humanity, his sadism and utter unfitness to hold public office. There is no excuse for the death penalty, other than revenge.

Jesus Fucking Christ! Isn’t 135,000+ deaths (and counting) enough for this administration?
Of course, we know the answer. The Administration and their cabal are hell bent on killing our children, too. Insisting that public schools reopen with no guidelines or plans on how it can be done safely.

Conservatives are quick to wear their religion on their sleeves when convenient - but are even quicker to ignore their religion when it becomes inconvenient.

[The Roman Catholic Church opposes the death penalty because it is anti-life.]
