More than a dozen states are now reporting that the feds slashed their COVID-19 vaccine allocation, leading to questions over the Trump administration’s planning for the distribution effort.
“Fuckers” was an understatement.
Smells fishy. Maybe it’s just incompetence, but with this crew in charge, it could be a bigger story about diverting vaccines for either political reasons or grift.

I gather there’s a database called ‘Tiberius’ that was populated with practice numbers, and those numbers were given to the actual states rather than the actual numbers. So when the database had to be updated to the numbers onhand, there was a reduction across the board. Additionally, the feds are holding doses back; since it is a 2 dose protocol they want to make sure they have the 2nd dose available to give out later, but states (understandably) are not giving people the 1st dose unless they have the 2nd dose in hand, so they are basically only giving out half as many doses at the fed gov’t thought they would be.
My guess is “Fuck you Joe Biden” and giving us the finger.
OK, they have to officially re-name this Army-based distribution group to Operation Slower-than-molasses Speed. Something is definitely wrong there.
I’ve read about rich people offering 25k a pop, so Trump couldn’t resist that grift.
It’s just a small snafu with the contracted logistics company, American Made Media Logistical Consultants LLC. They are just a little behind “hiring” staff to organize the rollout.
I will be surprised not at all I’d he is literally shipping some to Russia.
Likely a combination of incompetence, petulance, cruelty and grift. We’ve got to get this sorted out.

There is something wrong in this “distribution channel.” Pfizer has the vials. They have shipped vials out, as per their contract indicates (I believe they are good at production and contracts. I will not support them beyond that.) If fewer than 7,500 first line workers have gotten their first dose, well, that just seems wrong to me.
I am troubled by something a neighbor/friend/critical care nurse has told me. The protocol (I don’t know whose protocol this indicates) is that if you have been in contact with a COVID positive patient in the last two weeks, you cannot receive the shot. Well, medical people in the first phase for the shots, are the very same people who, by virtue of their work, are exactly those who have no doubt had contact in the past 2 weeks with a COVID-19 patient.
Has anyone else out there heard of this problem, or this protocol? The acronym SNAFU was promulgated over situations exactly like this. And, I might add, it comes from the military. When you have a crazy military team team up with a totally corrupt Trump maladministration, what could we expect?
It used to be that TrumPublican malevolence and venality was tempered by incompetence but that was before they showed us how incompetence could be weaponized.
