Interestingly enough, they didn’t campaign against him for being a racist, but for being “ineffective”. So I guess the good people of the 4th district of Iowa got tired of King being all mouth and no action. Where are the concentration camps? where are the mass deportations? King kept running his mouth off while the illegals overran Iowa, they want a man of action!!!
President Donald Trump enthusiastically endorsed King in 2014, praising the lawmaker as a “special guy, a smart person with, really, the right views on almost everything.”
Anyhow, this couldn’t have happened to a nicer guy. Maybe the district does want to go more conservative, I don’t know. But the voters have spoken we won’t have King to kick around anymore.
The only problem here is that this probably puts the seat back into safe R territory. They got rid of King because he made that seat vulnerable. Rove was quite up front about why the national party was there boosting Feenstra. This new person will be every bit as awful, but I assume knows to say the quiet parts quietly.
All that said, it’s a good day when primordial scum like King is removed from any semblance of power.
