Rep. Steve King (R-IA), who once wondered why the notion of white supremacy was offensive, was defeated by GOP challenger state Sen. Randy Feenstra (R) in Iowa’s primary race on Tuesday night.

“Unrepentant”? The word you are looking for is unreconstructed.

Interestingly enough, they didn’t campaign against him for being a racist, but for being “ineffective”. So I guess the good people of the 4th district of Iowa got tired of King being all mouth and no action. Where are the concentration camps? where are the mass deportations? King kept running his mouth off while the illegals overran Iowa, they want a man of action!!!

Does anyone out there in the TPMverse know about Feenstra’s record? I can’t find anything.

Yeah. They’re only trying to replace him with a guy that knows how to speak in whistles.

As if junior reps are going to be placed on any of the committees from which King was booted.

Well, that’s all I needed to know. Thanks!

President Donald Trump enthusiastically endorsed King in 2014, praising the lawmaker as a “special guy, a smart person with, really, the right views on almost everything.”

I’m sure the Unrepentant Racist network will give him a broadcasting job soon enough.

So who is the Democratic challenger and where do we donate?

Ah, I see @LeeHarveyGriswold has already shown the way.

Anyhow, this couldn’t have happened to a nicer guy. Maybe the district does want to go more conservative, I don’t know. But the voters have spoken we won’t have King to kick around anymore.

The polls look good for Scholten, he was beating King in many, and will probably send Feenstra packing.

Sayanora, Steve, may you be the first of many until the dustbin of history overflows.

Please let this be a harbinger of things to come in November.

The only problem here is that this probably puts the seat back into safe R territory. They got rid of King because he made that seat vulnerable. Rove was quite up front about why the national party was there boosting Feenstra. This new person will be every bit as awful, but I assume knows to say the quiet parts quietly.

All that said, it’s a good day when primordial scum like King is removed from any semblance of power.

It’s good to see King go. If only he would take Trump with him.

Here’s his state voting record. Solid GOP credentials, of which he is quite proud.
