And how many years is that women in Texas serving for casting a provisional ballot?

Oh, but J.D. Vance assured us the other day that “professors are the enemy(!!!)”

Totally different. Texas involved a black female who is not related to a GOP candidate.

Sentenced to five. Though txlawyer tells us her sentence is stayed pending appeal.

And they try to claim that liberals are fascists.

Yep:

Asked about the incident a spokesman for Gov-Elect Youngkin attacked people “pitching opposition research on a 17-year old kid who honestly misunderstood Virginia election law” while Youngkin was trying to unite the state.

Conundrum: Hire Professors to.seek the truth and then forbid them from telling it.

Also, a pretty big tell that the GQP knows it is in the wrong on those voting laws.

Wonder if the perfessers will be permitted to mention on the stand the temporary prohibition against their testimony, or would that be considered prejudicial?

It’s no more prejudicial than reporting that someone attempted to flee.

I love how simply you put this! Right on!

“OK, so I tried to rob the bank, but they wouldn’t give me any money. Twice.” Sounds much like a certain failed international extortionist.

Prep school child of a prep school dad should know better. Don’t they teach civics these days? Oh, no, they have to read Beloved, by Toni Morrison. The horror.

But there are those who wonder if the Democrats should run against this ass clown or not.

Umm, he’s an incompetent fool and has no business being in charge of a political entity.

How many people has he killed with his mindless mask bs and vaccine bs? Maybe those folks might like a different governor this time around. Maybe the college educated can get out there and start pounding the sidewalks now and get people to see what a POS Desantis really is.

Maybe the Dems don’t need the second coming to beat this guy, just someone with a clue and a voice?

BartCop talked about Hillary and how the GOP were scared to death of her, and rightly so. She should have been President, probably instead of Barack, except for the non stop demonizing of her since before 1992. I say this not out of any disrespect or preferences for either one. Just saying, the GOP trashed her every day in every way, and she didn’t do anything wrong. How many people has DeSantis killed? How many teenage girls are going to have babies they don’t want or can’t care for because of him?

You don’t think he’s vulnerable? And then there’s the sniping from trump because DeSantis doesn’t suck trumps ass hard enough.

You challenge him, at the very least he goes into 2024 with lots of ugly baggage, and that’s a good thing.

The critical word in this discussion being twice. You can argue that he was ignorant the first time he attempted to vote. The second time was just an admission that he was aware of a friend having violated the law and a demand that he be allowed to perpetrate the same crime.

Also, rather than ask “his friend” whether he was eligible to vote, you know who he could have asked who would probably know for sure? Right, his father, the Governor-elect.

The little sob was trying to vote so when his dad lost he could say that it was due to voting irregularities.

Also, casting a ballot and having the vote counted are two different things. The little sob could have cast a ballot, but he wouldn’t have been on any voter roll for his vote to be counted. Smirky little sob.

Sounds like a job for the team that tried to sneak Pence out of the Capitol. No way would he have got back for the vote that day. DeSantis, Trump, and Abbott can not handle the truth. They don’t even try to hide it anymore.

Someone posted in comments somewhere yesterday quoting a snippet from the judge basically telegraphing the plaintiffs to subpoena the witnesses…

I’m sure that got the university’s legal beagles frantically recommending a full back down post haste.
