Ukrainian officials inquired about the hold in hundreds of millions of dollars worth of U.S. security assistance more than a month earlier than previously known, Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defense Laura Cooper told the House impeachment inquiry Wednesday evening.

For your consideration.

Of all people asking this question.

" Ken Starr On Fox: Will GOP Senators Ask Trump To Resign?

Is it time for Fox News to prep their brainwashed audience for a Trump exit?"

Starr’s speculation is interesting, but as a result of apparent apathy in recent public opinion polls the ultimate repugnican response is: ‘you can’t make us care.’

Of course Ukraine knew long before the Politico story. Cooper testifies that Defense Dept cleared the funds in MAY. They are not released until September.

Ukraine’s tongue was hanging out for this military support. Ukraine Embassy pros are not babes in the woods. By the end of June they were probably wondering what the problem was.

Doubt it took more than a round of drinks at a bar one evening to scope out there was an issue.

Article title: " Ukraine Inquired About Hold On Military Aid Far Earlier Than Previously Known". My subtitle: “Ukrainians Aren’t Stupid”

Hell, the Ukrainians are also well-known for hacking, with all the unsecured calls and e-mails and texts floating around, that they didn’t catch the internal discussions is a joke.

Trump ordering the delay in mid-July

Donald Trump and his criminal network have been engaged in criminal activity for a long time.

This was another body blow to the GOP and Trump. This was a well planned and fully executed bribe solicitation backed by an extortion threat. That’s essentially undeniable even for the GOP.

Talk about stupid arguments and mental masterbation. Of course Ukraine knew the aid was being withheld, they were not getting the money and weapons. I mean my wife does not tell me I am not getting laid, I just do not get laid and know my wife is not laying me. Ukraine knew they were not getting the aid because they were not getting the aid and did not need to be told.

Agreed… since Newt declared that politics was a blood sport, and no Republican can ever side with Democrats, any abandonment of tRump is unlikely to happen. IF the GOP goes down to an ignominious defeat in 2020, losing the Presidency, the House, and the Senate THEN we might see some change in the Republican policies, until then I think the odds are nil. Any GOP defectors will be immediately pilloried by Limbaugh, Fox, and the other tRump media, so IMO any change will not happen this election cycle.

Don’t place any bets on that. The GOP are very good at finding deflection points and any loss will be a prime example of “it was not our fault, our policies are ‘perfect’”.

Another Republican talking point swirling down the drain
