Ukraine Pressure Campaign Was About Manafort

President Trump went down in history this month as the third president to be impeached, in part over an abuse of power allegation involving an attempt to extort Ukraine into attacking Democratic frontrunner Joe Biden.

Seems like pressure on Ukraine began w/ Manafort yanking military aid to Ukraine from the GOP platform before the nominating convention.

Excellent report.

…the ā€œblack ledger.ā€ It purports to show documentation of bribes paid out by the political party for which Manafort worked in Ukraine.

Seems where bribes are flying, Trump is close by.

If Manafort is pardoned he will have to admit his guilt and no longer be able to claim his right against self-incrimination. If he is caught telling more lies (a guarantee) he can be prosecuted for perjury and sent back to jail.

I imagine all of that is highly likely as Manafort is unable to tell the truth about anything.

Incredibly deep-sourced and cogently-articulated narrative, as always, from Josh K. Promote that man!

Also, it bears repeating, once again: PENCE brought on board MANAFORT.

Good work, Josh, connecting more dots. Ultimately, though, every single one of them forms a trail back to Putin. Hillary told us that in 2016, Nancy reminded us in 2019 and it will continue until Trump is removed from high office.

Been saying this for months - Manafort is the key. He was deeply in debt to corrupt oligarchs and ā€˜volunteered’ for the Trump Campaign. I have no doubt it was his intent to do their (and therefore Putin’s) bidding as a way to get out from under. He’d been getting away with it for years and believed he would continue to do so. He is still communicating with Giuliani on the Ukraine and still doing Putin’s bidding.

Keep digging, Josh - this is a big untold story. He who breaks it will be a hero.

ā€œThat same day, Sen. Chuck Grassley (R-IA) sent DOJ Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein a letter based on the same ideaā€

How to Be A Russian Asset for Dummies.

Derkach is Putin’s plaything from taint to glans. Grassley aping his shit is fucking pathetic.

Yes. Manafort is as dirty as they come.

It needs to be shouted from the treetops every day: 20-odd US intelligence agencies agree Russia interfered in the 2016 election. The only people disputing that are Putin and Trump.

You’re presuming that Josh hasn’t been in on the whole thing since the beginning… Why else does he know so much about it…

ā€œThe horrible thing about Faux News was not that one was obliged to act a part, but that it was impossible to avoid joining in. Within thirty seconds any pretence was always unnecessary. A hideous ecstasy of fear and vindictiveness, a desire to kill, to torture, to smash faces in with a sledge hammer, seemed to flow through the whole group of people like an electric current, turning one even against one’s will into a grimacing, screaming lunatic. And yet the rage that one felt was an abstract, undirected emotion which could be switched from one object to another like the flame of a blowlamp.ā€

MANAFORT put PENCE in place. So - you know - ā€˜quid pro quo’ and all that.

Yeah - they’re what the Russians call ā€˜droogs’. Bound up in ā€˜friendship’ by a mutual destruction pact.

Anyone want to take bets on Manafort being pardon on Christmas? Trump needs him to help with undermining the Ukrainian Government.

Just so…Manafort.
This kind of clusterfukc is what happens when a slimy criminal like Manafort is allowed to get away with his illegality indefinitely. Eventually, he/she acts increasingly emboldened and creates a gigantic mess. Trump, too, should have been jailed for the criminal money-laundering his casinos did, in lieu of a meaningless fine paid by fleeced shareholders. Letting him get away over time leads to this miasma.

Hmmm. In other words, Josh scooped the Soros gang and they don’t like it…

IF Manafort gets a pardon - we’ll never see him in this country again. He’ll hole up somewhere with no extradition treaty.

Count on it.

Naw, we scooped this stuff months ago (things like Kolomoisky).

OT, but here you goā€¦ā€œIt don’t matter as long as he’s helping us force our religion on everyone else.ā€

Read it and tell me I’m wrong that the very very clear subtext is as follows: ā€œTrump is empowering us to be bigoted and discriminate again in order to assert superiority over everyone else, so there’s pretty much nothing he shouldn’t be forgiven for.ā€ The entire article is a batshit homage to ā€œNOTHING’S OFF LIMITSā€.

ETA: Man is that kkkomment board full of crazy…what fun!
