LONDON — British prime minister Boris Johnson “continues to improve” in the intensive care unit of a London hospital where he is being treated for the new coronavirus.
He’s not on a ventilator. They’re probably working like crazy to keep him off of one. Sedation. Oxygen. Flipping him around to keep fluid from settling in any part of his lungs.
They are definitely not giving him hydrochloroquine and z-pack.
This is good news. This will give the PM a much greater understanding of how the coronavirus affects people, and the critical role the NHS is serving. He will have learned to do better.
Funny, that. My better half (who puts her hair in a ponytail and takes a shears to it herself)-- gave me my first trim last night. Not too shabby either.
We bought a $20 electric barbers clippers a few weeks ago. With last night’s ‘success’ (and weeks to go before I go back to my office)-- she’s going to give it a whack.
I am afraid it will go the other way. We will all start looking like Boris Johnson if the barber stores are staying closed for a few more weeks.
I am definitely noticing a clear deterioration in hair styles on my daily Zoom meetings. And that doesn’t even include the people who switch off their camera - they probably have a good reason.
