Wow. The Missouri SoS Hoskins is about as corrupt as one could imagine. The sad part is that unless they find him guilty for corrupt practices in a court of law, that asshole isn’t up for reelection until 2028. I checked. He will be trying to manipulate that state’s election unless stopped.
I never heard of an IP scrambler (I have heard of a burner phone), being a luddite that I am but geez-louise, that’s some devious shit this SoS was going to plant as disinformation, and as a pretense to get into their voter registration system and declare fraud for the Feds. It looks like an effort to find fraud where none exists and pass it onto the Feds as proof, because they’re so desperate to find any when it comes to elections.
These pukes will go to any lengths to make up shit to manipulate voting systems in their favor. I knew they were doing other things besides the Post Office stuff but this is really another example of ways around the country Rs are trying to stoke distrust in the system and cause chaos and confusion with the electorate.

He doesn’t look so good. Almost like he’s in pain. What a sad commentary on our politics, that instead of just resigning due to poor health these people (i.e. Senators) stay beyond their ‘use by’ or ‘sell date’.
There’s no excuse for having him there to merely push buttons on legislation that probably won’t take place anyway in the last few months of this year. And then they’re back on vacation anyway after the elections. He has another year before he has to run for reelection. What are the odds he makes it that long? Eh…

I don’t know about other states, but if they did it here in Virginia, yup, they broke the law. String them up on non-pardonable charges.
Training materials asserted that officers were “not personally liable for conducting these searches when done as part of their official duties and properly documented,”
“Your Honor, sure I robbed that bank. But my boss, Billybobwayne, told me to, as a part of my job. He even told me to write it down. So, I’m off the hook.”

This is straight to a crime, prohibited by both the Computer Fraud and Abuse Act of 1986 (CFAA) and the privacy act. Anyone who abuses government websites like that should go to jail.

I disapprove of ageism on principle, including judgments based on the appearance of physical or mental infirmity and especially judgments that conflate the two. A person can be mentally capable while presenting as physically frail. That said, I berate myself for wondering which Republican leader is more incompetent… Donald Trump or Mitch McConnell…, based on the public evidence available for all to see.
