Fox News host Tucker Carlson’s just asking questions about Russia’s latest conspiracy theory — bioweapon labs in Ukraine — that’s found a home in U.S. right-wing circles. But he doesn’t seem to like the answers he’s getting from people who actually know things.
“And it’s possible they’re afraid not to do that,” he added. “They know if they stray from the script the White House has written for them, they’ll be denounced from the briefing room as tools of Putin.”
Sounds like Jen Psaki has FOX running scared.
Tucker Carlson would need a serious upgrade just to qualify as “odious”.
I’m old enough to remember when FOX News would have been more likely to parrot Pentagon talking points than Kremlin ones.
Wednesday night and Thursday, Carlson popped off during his show later on Thursday, slamming the “Pentagon talking points you saw reported as fact on television today and last night” and journalists who “didn’t bother to do any reporting whatsoever.”
Um, this sounds like “reporting” to me:
“They got a text from some Biden administration flack and they just read it on the air like it was true,” the Fox News host fumed.
Perhaps the dimwitted Carlson meant “investigating.”
How dare the reporter get information from the Pentagon about military matters? Where did Tucker get his information? The Kremlin. This is just pathetic.
Yep…that’s Tucker. ‘I’m a VICTIM DAMMIT! I was just asking QUESTIONS…free speech! So called reporters!’ He’s a miserable piece of dung. He is a racist, a sexist and an apologist for Putin.
A few minutes later, Carlson ranted again about reporters who “scold anyone for asking legitimate questions” and “attack” them as tools of Russia.
Said the pro-Russian, pathological liar, propaganda spewing, treasonous shit that would (is) burn down our country to see the liberals be hurt in any way.
… trying to keep my display of disgust for this asshole minimal here. I may not have fully succeeded.
Tucker and Ted Cruz et al seem all of a piece to me: performance artists with no shame ignoring the real-world consequences of their bullshit. Their actions almost transcend grift and narcissism, descending into a nihilistic solipsism so entire they can go home to their ‘nice’ bourgeois families, take off their shoes in the recliner, and drink a beer while honestly commenting on what a day at the office they had.
Can’t decide if faux will find a new fact-checker or just dispense with fact-checking altogether. If their audience had any cognitive abilities they would surely be suffering from cognitive dissonance when actually exposed to fact-checking so perhaps faux should abandon the idea.
“And it’s possible they’re afraid not to do that,” he added. “They know if they stray from the script the White House has written for them, they’ll be denounced from the briefing room as tools of Putin.”
She isn’t a so-called reporter, she is an actual reporter one of the very few at Fox. Tucker and Faulkner are just talking heads spouting their uninformed opinions.
Media, talking about media, talking about media. I can’t think of anywhere else where this happens but I could be wrong. It’s this preoccupation with celebrity that America has. Stronger broadcasting laws would take care of the riff raff so media could focus on issues in a coherent manner without resorting to inflammatory name calling, idiotic speculation and amplifying big lies.
There are nations wherein the government has laws regulating the news media, and the dissemination of information in general across all communication platforms. The U.S. doesn’t want to emulate them for the most part. For good reason.
