Tucker Carlson Convinces At Least One Guy With His Jan. 6 Nonsense: Elon Musk

Monday night Fox News host Tucker Carlson took to his conspiracy theory swamp show to lay out his latest cherry-picked take on the violent insurrection of the Capitol on Jan. 6, 2021.

Does anyone still use Twitter? I thought it was basically one guy yelling at his mirror nowadays.

Every Morning Memo links to several Tweets. Perhaps it would be a good thing to avoid that and look for other sources of the info. Start making Twitter a thing of the past.

The political cost of participating in Twitter now outweighs any benefit the additional connections in networking create.

One thing that seems to be missing – no matter to what percent of the people were violent, they were there to overturn the election. Holding up placards is one thing, but going in with the intention of stopping the vote and installing fake electors is entirely more serious.

Was Elmo always nuts?

Tucker Carlson and all of FOX news at this point have been so discredited by anyone who has any mind to be “fair and balanced”, it is safe to say all FOX news is doing is preaching to the choir. That is they are, as shown in Dominion’s lawsuit, merely selling to people propaganda those people want to buy.

Therefore, I wonder if we should be ignoring FOX as irrelevant propaganda or attacking FOX for that propaganda as those attacks may help spread the propaganda.

Remember, the big lie works by repeating over and over and getting others to repeat to the extent it gets taken as truth. Iraq has weapons of mass destruction, a nuclear missile is the designed to kill millions is the “peacekeeper missile”, cutting programs is saving them and the greatest of all, tax cuts reduce the deficit.

More or less, but it does seem to have worsened in recent years. Reads to me like a midlife personal crisis. Divorced dad energy.

ETA: His baby mamas and children don’t love him, but the Nazis will always give Elmo their love and approval.

Fair question! I didn’t pay any attention to him for years, but my guess is that he was just better at displaying the relatively normal tech dudebro ego and hiding his inner nazi.

I get that generally, but in this case it’s the primary source for the quotes they’re discussing. Otherwise they’d just be quoting other people talking about Elon’s idiotic tweets.

Give Trump a enema and you get Tucker Carson.

Most of those tweets are from reporters.

One technique to address this situation is to publish a screenshot rather than a link to the tweet. And, of course, if a comment on Mastodon or other will cover it, use that.

Sen. Thom Tillis (R-NC) told reporters in the Capitol, according to NBC News[:]
“ … if you were just a tourist you should’ve probably lined up at the visitors’ center and came in on an orderly basis.”

“And, if you didn’t have two officers to escort you around and point out the sights, you should have demanded a refund!”

Interestingly, some people are saying that the heart attacks and suicides were mostly peaceful too! Also!

Yah, I read them. Do any of them have accounts in Twitter alternatives? I think often, yes.
