Trumpworld Implodes Over Ex-POTUS’ Endorsement Of Dr. Oz

Shortly after former President Trump announced his endorsement of celebrity doctor Mehmet Oz in the hotly contested Pennsylvania Senate GOP primary, a slew of Trumpworld figures fired up social media with their apparent disapproval of the former president’s new endorsee to replace retiring Sen. Pat Toomey (R-PA).

How can anyone still be surprised at fresh evidence of Donald Trump’s 1) ignorance. 2). Perfidy. 3) vindictiveness

Trump endorsing Dr. Oz confirms what Trump supporters fear for 2024. Trump was a good POTUS (minus covid response). His worst thing was surrounding himself with idiots, suck ups & deep state. We worry, has he learned his lesson or will 2024 be a repeat? Endorsing Oz? The same.![:grimacing:]

When you have to do that much qualifying in your short comment, you might actually not like that Trump guy.

Trump also seemed to be swayed by Oz’s longtime television career, telling rally-goers on Saturday night that the 18-year run of the celebrity doctor’s now-defunct TV show is “like a poll” which, in his words, translates to: “people like you.”

Surprise, surprise. One stupid, carnival barker TV personality endorses another. The only question is why the MAGA Morons expected otherwise?

The tweets are a parade of hilarity. (Hey, man, Limp Bizkit rocked!) My favorite is Erick Erickson blaming Trump’s “staff.” Trump has a “staff” like the Three Stooges have Life Coaches. His staff is a handful of people who follow him around telling him how great he is, which is basically what Oz did, and which is the sole and only reason why Trump endorsed him, because it’s basically the only thing he cares about, that is, having many people kiss his ass and tell him he’s the greatest. Ok, well it’s true that he does also really love to hate on people who don’t kiss his ass. Mitt Romney!

Is there something those of us from the Deep State can do to widen this breach?

If the Leopards Eating People’s Faces party actually ate that spray-tanned raccoon face…

I would actually forgive Karma for phoning it in since 2016.

What might be Dr Oz’s appeal for trump?

One, he’s a TV celebrity, just like trump. Two, that should Oz win after trump’s endorsement he would be in trump’s pocket

trump’s goal is to surround himself with loyalists and annihilate all opposition

I like this response because it presumes that Trump solicits or takes advice, and that is supreme nonsense.

It’s like Donald Trump’s staff is sabotaging Trump by convincing him to make the worst possible endorsements.

It’s about frickin’ time the sh_t hit the fan! It’s taken Donnie supporters this long to figure out he has no ideology, morals, ethics, loyalty, humanity, decency, respect for the rule of law, or fidelity to the U.S. Constitution? WTF?? Snakes on a plane, I hope they eat one another!

For the past 3 months the Republicans in PA have been bashing Oz in TV commercials - “socialist, woke, Hollywood Rino blah blah blah”.
This will be amusing.

Oh my, as I recall, Trump was a guy with a scammy TV show.

Well, I’m purring. Trump might as well endorse Diamond and Silk, as bad as this for-one-reason pick is. He makes increasingly terrible choices because the personality disorder is in complete control and he has no ability to make rational choices that would benefit the party and thus strengthen his position within it. The only weight he swings is whatever meaningful influence remains over the shrinking percentage of besotted dolts who make up his own base. I liked the way McConnell, who owes Trump very little at this point, put it: “I guess we will find out in the next few weeks how much this endorsement made a difference.” I can’t help feeling that’s got a subtext, a certain subtle message.
