One “operation” described by the report featured Iranian operatives posing as members of the Proud Boys.

I’d love to get video of that. For some reason, the phrase “comedy gold” springs to mind.

ETA: I wonder if they had code names, like the Incel Imam, or the Mullet Mullah.

I wonder why Trump kept demeaning and attacking the intelligence community, and I wonder why Republicans, such staunch supporters of law enforcement and the intelligence community in the past, suddenly fell in line with Trump???

It’s a mystery.

The report also said that conspiracy theories put forth by Trump lawyers Sidney Powell and Rudy Giuliani that the results of the 2020 election were, in fact, the result of an international communist conspiracy run by deceased Venezuelan leader Hugo Chavez were … completely bogus.

Well, perhaps he got better.

How’s that “no collusion!!!” argument going for the GOP now?

The intelligence report frames those narratives as part of a Russian influence campaign managed in part by the FSB, the country’s successor agency to the KGB. One Ukrainian official who met with Giuliani — parliamentarian Andriy Derkach — was acting at the direction of Russian President Vladimir Putin, the report said.

Not quite true, but also kinda true and then also truish.

After the breakup of the USSR, the KGB’s former authority and jurisdiction was divided between the GRU, Russian military intelligence, the FSB, which was supposed to take over counterintelligence, internal security and border security, and the SVR was supposed to take over the brief of the KGB’s First Directorate and become it’s chief foreign intelligence service.

In practice, it isn’t that tidy and all three agencies trample all over each other’s area’s of responsibilities. So FSB isn’t supposed to do foreign intelligence work but it does, the GRU is supposed to do only military intelligence but does far more spying and black ops than the SVR. Because rule of law isn’t a thing of Russia and empire building is.

‘Fake’ news. It’s not like Russia’s Agent Orange gave away secret information to Russian officials in the Oval Office… Ooops, never mind. He did

Trump revealed intelligence secrets to Russians in Oval Office: officials | Reuters

Well, in any case, it’s not like Russia’s Agent Orange tried to hide what was said to Putin… Ooops, looks like he did.

Trump concealed details of meetings with Vladimir Putin, report says (usatoday.com)

Why is he not in prison, or being tried for treason? I sure hope President Biden doesn’t allow him to get any more briefings from the Intelligence Community.

How do you say “No Shit, Sherlock” in Russian?

Which is exactly what you would expect a corrupt Deep State intent on undermining the Will of the People to install whomever it wants to as President to say.

No surprise that a story on bogus claims and Russian agents, that doofus is referenced.

Telizhenko was sanctioned last month, after Sen. Ron Johnson (R-WI) spent part of 2020 pushing to include him in a Senate investigation that pushed the same claims that the intelligence community says are Russian propaganda.
