Good Riddance Tricia McLaughlin, the DHS spokesperson who trafficked in scurrilous lies about Trump’s mass deportation operation and in over-the-top attacks on the press, is leaving the administration on her own terms. McLaughlin was a key contributor to a particular Trump II aesthetic: young, photogenic, often blonde women going feral in front of cameras on…
good morning

Randy, if forced to choose, most people would choose dogs over Congresspeople, of either party.
Best background tune for Today’s “Morning Memo”:
Nina Simone’s “Young, Feral, and Blonde.”
The stupid, it burns.
One lying sack of shit out the door won’t make a dent.
Wishing her a weekly kidney stone.
Was wondering when the brothers would emerge from under their rocks. Today is the day.

“Censoring science and erasing America’s history at national parks are direct threats to everything these amazing places, and our country, stand for. As Americans, we deserve national parks that tell stories of our country’s triumphs and heartbreaks alike. We can handle the truth.”—Alan Spears, senior director of cultural resources at the National Parks Conservation Association, which filed a new lawsuit in federal court in Boston challenging President Trump’s March 2025 executive order on “restoring truth and sanity to American history”
I found this tidbit at the bottom of the article. It examines one of the most frightening aspects of the Trump administration. Its willingness to disappear American history and science. America is nothing if it doesn’t remember its history. Even worse it is even less if it forgets just how much we owe to science and the honesty it demands.
When Qusay and Uday see there shadows after emerging, we’re in for three more years of brain melting stupidity
