Trump Yells For Companies To Produce Ventilators

President Donald Trump seems to have finally caught on to the fact that hospitals need more ventilators to treat people with severe cases of coronavirus.

As if we didn’t have enough to worry about. The entire GOP is the Gambino Family on steroids.

There comes a time when an infected mad animal should simply be put down. We’re way past that.

If we had voted in a President with actual business experience and a lifetime of being accountable we may have been able to get through this…

I would almost guarantee you that tRump doesn’t even know what a ventilator is, what it does, what it looks like, who its for and any other relevant information about that specific spoken-of medical equipment. tRump is an ignoramus. That is all.

Only the best dithering. Very, very classy dithering. G-d’s gift to dithering!

Issue an Executive Order or use DPA, you Stooopidly Greedy Moron instead of tweeting!

If the Greed-Over-People Party can give a $1.5Trillion scam tax cut, why are millions of American lives NOT worth the $1B price for the 80k ventilators?

Addendum:

Why is Kushner - with no scientific qualification - put in charge of the much needed ventilators? How much is he grifting from this pandemic? Any delay he causes (like the research that the WH claimed he was doing) because of his greed are literally killing Americans!

Profiting in Office in times of adversities like a pandemic will guarantee you Kushner a special place in HELL!

At the center of the discussion about how to ramp up the production of ventilators is Jared Kushner, the president’s son-in-law and a senior White House aide, who has told people that he was called in two weeks ago by Vice President Mike Pence to produce more coronavirus test kits and who has now turned his attention to ventilators.

Update:
Per Peter Baker…finally, Trump invokes DPA…problem is it’s NOT science based…it’s seems to be at whims of Azar who is under Covidiot Trump!

The order Trump signs directs Azar ā€œto require General Motors Company to accept, perform, and prioritize contracts or orders for the number of ventilators that the Secretary determines to be appropriate.ā€

In hindsight, the takeover of our system of government by incompetent malefactors, something we all though to be far fetched and unlikely, turned out to be easy and actually completely predictable. Viz. Mann and Ornstein and others.

It wasn’t too long ago that the country was blessed with a president who had a Harvard MBA and was an experienced bidnessman. The good old days.

Does an all-caps rant on Twitter amount to using the Defense Production Act? I can understand why people would be confused on that point.

It’s probably Obama’s faulty anyway. MORE WINNING!!!

By it’s very nature, Narcissistic Personality Disorder is such that if you elect someone who has it president, that president will be the worst possible president imaginable when a crisis comes along, no matter what the nature of the crisis. There may be mental disorders that it would be worse for a president to have, but there aren’t any I can think of that someone could have and still get elected president, if only by an amazingly unlucky confluence of events.

There is no better him, no rising above himself to meet a challenge, no capacity for reasoned calculation of his long term best interest like you’d get with someone with pure Antisocial Personality Disorder (which yeah, he also has).

When I was heaving my guts out on election night, I didn’t know what the crisis would be, but I knew there would be one and and I knew this is how it would go.

There is a current article on Slate to the effect that even though Trump cannot successfully sue to have political ads against him taken off the air, the fact that he sued at all serves as a chilling effect.

Well, a recent presidential candidate was willing to spend close to a billion dollars on his vanity campaign. He should volunteer to pay the legal fees of anyone chilled by Trump.

We can start with the killer ad showing Trump yapping his mouth while the infected persons curve soars exponentially, and we can follow that up by something equally devastating regarding ventilators, maybe the sounds of people gasping for air set against Trump’s sniping about Cuomo’s plea for help. The backdrop an image of a monitor beeping, then going flatline.

Ocasio-Cortez blasts coronavirus stimulus package as ā€˜shameful’ on House floor

" Freshman Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-N.Y.) on Friday slammed the $2.2 trillion coronavirus stimulus passage passed in the Senate earlier in the week as ā€œshamefulā€ and argued that the bill was one of ā€œthe largest corporate bailoutsā€ in ā€œAmerican history.ā€

I didn’t vote for him so I’m off the hook. I didn’t vote for anyone with private business experience and this, may I say, is the reason why. Government is not a business, let alone your own private business which tRump thinks is now his. Besides, he’s not a ā€œsuccessfulā€ businessman, never has been. He’s a cheesy gameshow host. At the very most, by way of business, he’s basically a fucking realtor that uses OPM as a pass through to buying, operating and maintaining his acquisitions. He’s always been a criminal money launderer except for all the money his dad gave him that he lost on owning a damn casino. He just liked to pretend he was some kind of mogul in the real estate business, and NY let him get away with that for way too long. I blame NY for that shit. They let a bogus reputation as a successful businessman to build into the menace we see today. tRump is the Bernie Madoff of the real estate business.

His people were the problem. So he is projecting that onward. Standard issue Trump Tactics.

One thought, the difficulties with him are soundly based on his disorders, but one fact is creeping in as well. Not only will they not do the right thing, they flat do not know how. Something he does not want to admit.

Layman as I am, if I were suddenly the POTUS, I would be reaching out, rapidly to the people who knew how to do things in the past. This means previous presidents and administration folks as well as all the downstream players. First day I would get a team of people who know where to go, what to look for and how to make it happen. Then let them loose. But he is too ignorant and narcissistic to do this. He wants to be the only mover and shaker and damn the consequences. The fact Jared is even close to this issue is repugnant.

But reaching out to knowledgeable people, his narcissism will not let it happen and then he has to share credit.

I’m sure he’ll invoke the DPA when red states and swing states yell loudly enough.

I’m no fan of Xi, but I’d take him in a heartbeat over this idiot who’s getting us killed…deliberately. At what point do we call it murder? I’m there now.

Trump’s handling of this crisis has been nothing short of catastrophic, yet his poll numbers in the Washington Post-ABC News poll are above water for the first time in his presidency. This country is officially majority insane.
