Trump Will ‘Not Even Consider’ Changing Bases Named After Confederate Generals

After all, he needs the redneck racist vote to even have a chance at reelection.

So, why don’t we have any military bases named after the excellent Revolutionary War General Benedict Arnold? If Lee and Stonewall Jackson weren’t traitors, then why does Arnold get the bad rap?

Um, those bases are named on the basis of a history of Winning, Victory, and Freedom Losing, Defeat, and Slavery.

But don’t let that stop you…

Does the military have to get Big Daddy’s permission?

I would suppose because Arnold conspired with “the enemy” the British, while the War Between the State was “in famiglia”, besides reconciliation and all that.

The bases, he said on Twitter, were “Monumental and very Powerful” and contained a “history of Winning, Victory, and Freedom.”

It was passed out to the press. Except for “monumental” (probably a Hope Hicks contribution). I totally believe Trump wrote this.

Short answer: reconciliation

If Rommel had graduated West Point, we’d probably have bases named for him too.

A) He doesn’t care what they are called, unless they name a base after him.
B) 45* couldn’t name a Confederate general besides Lee if they gave him all day to think about it.

He didn’t know any of his bases were named after Confederate Generals until the Army announced they were considering name changes.

Had Trump been alive during the Civil War, he would have marched South and declared bone spurs.
Then had a statue erected in honor of his bravery.

IMPOTUS has spent his whole life in his own alternate reality, why would he want to deny his cultists theirs?

He could solve part of this problem by re-naming Fort Bragg, Fort Scott Hancock.

Until then ,,,.

Well if you want to tick him off more…

Fort Floyd
Fort Gugino
Fort Mueller
Fort Pelosi
Fort Bowser
Fort Witmer
Fort Duckworth

or other suggestions as developed.
