Trump Was Not Tested Daily For COVID-19 Before Diagnosis | Talking Points Memo

White House officials said on Tuesday that in spite of an image of daily testing, President Donald Trump had not been tested everyday for COVID-19 before he announced his diagnosis with the virus last week, according to The New York Times.

Many White House offices, in addition to the Capitol, have since been emptied as officials, including many Chiefs of Staff quarantine amid possible exposure.

Putin’s probably feeling all warm and fuzzy about the Joint Chiefs being isolated. Backing the Orange Meat Puppet has its rewards.

I guess there’s down side to, “One rule for me, another for thee.”
Who woulda thunk it?
Well, at least Donnie didn’t have to bear the indignity of being treated like one of ‘the people.’

Trump Administration official philosophy:

“Getting tested for the China virus and wearing masks is girly-man behavior. Our god-like genetics and pure internal strength is protection enough. Be sure to project this notion to the public at every opportunity.”

All things considered… who in their right mind would ever purchase a piece of real-estate built by the Trump organization?
You have to know that every possible building safety requirement was relentlessly sought to be circumvented / disregarded.

Meantime our military leaders are all in quarantine because of his selfishness and insecurity - if not directly then by his ridiculous downplaying of medical guidance. This is the big play that needs to come out of this - who cares about McEnany, Miller, Johnson et al. He put our entire military apparatus in grave danger - this point needs to get traction immediately.

On Monday, he was criticized for what’s been dubbed by critics as a joyride that endangered the health of Secret Service agents when the still sick President got into a car with at least two agents to wave to supporters.

Everyone has their own way of showing courage in the face of adversity.

He doesn’t like physical discomfort. So nose swabs were right out. And then his people rationalized why not to bother with other methods.

Btw, there’s an analogy to this in computer security. “System-high” operation means very carefully guarding the perimeter, and then allowing more or less unconstrained behavior once someone has gained access. It’s almost never used any more with computers that handle information of any value, because a) guarding the perimeter well is really hard, and b) the consequences if anyone/anything gets in are too great. So typically security people use defense in depth, with perimeter checks and then multiple interior layers of security. (still doesn’t work universally, but better)

It sounds as though he believed his own hype about the virus going away - at least when it was convenient. He’ll say anything at any time if he thinks at that moment it will benefit him. And he’ll change in 5 minutes if he thinks that’s better for him.
Not only does he have no morals, but he also has no beliefs except ‘if I think it’s good for me I’ll do it.’

O/T Just saw Rudy this morning on Bloomberg Business, claiming he has tested negative twice. Completely off the rails, as usual. Huge rant about Biden having dementia as the hosts laughed at him. They said “this is an interview. You agreed to come on for an interview. An interview means we ask questions, and you answer.” Rudy responded with “No, you asked me to come on so I could tell you what I need to say. What are you going to do about it?”
“We could end the interview”. Not sure what happened after that, had to get to work.

It remains unclear how the President will protect others as he continues to battle his infection.

Oh come on now, I don’t think it’s at all unclear how he will protect others. He will not.

Kamala is going to put up a plexiglass wall for the debates tomorrow and Mike Pence is going to pay for it.

That’s righteous.
