It’s far more accurate to say Trump and key co-conspirators began planning for a coup to illegally stay in power well in advance of the 2020 election.

After joining Mitchell’s group, Eastman’s lawyers said in the new filing, Eastman started conducting “legal research and collaborating with academic advisors and other supporters of the President about the myriad number of factual and legal issues he anticipated might arise following the election.”
IOW, “Let’s look for stuff we can throw against the wall, and then see what sticks.”
tfg was set to challenge the 2016 election in court before it ever took place, but somehow he managed to be declared the winner. If ever there were an election that needed auditing, it’s the 2016 presidential contest. And of course the 2000 version so conveniently decided by our supremes.
We can’t get 2000 and 2016 back, but we must not allow a repeat and must continually call out their strategy of preemptively declaring all elections invalid unless they ‘win’.
