President Donald Trump on Tuesday morning turned the controversy over his indoor rally in Henderson, Nevada on Sunday into an opportunity to baselessly accuse Nevada Gov. Steve Sisolak (D) of fixing the state’s ballots to rig the election against him
Sometimes I think it would be far better for the press to just stop reporting on Trump’s throwaway insanity lines. I know my blood pressure would appreciate it.
I go between numb and shocked, it’s become a way of life to fly between those poles, and this morning it’s numb, as it happens. So I can calmly observe, like Mr. Spock can regard some entity that’s about to destroy the Enterprise, that for a while now his campaign has been entirely fact-free and composed of lies. Not one true thing in all his verbiage. Really quite remarkable.
But of course, he does. ‘Baselessly’ is the operative word. He ‘spins’. He ‘lies’. The real danger is the media being complacent. Or laughing. What thing I’ve been noticing is Trump ‘baselessly’ lobbing yet another accusation and the media breathlessly asking the target ‘Is is TRUE???’ There is no credence to the smears but yet…??? And the lie becomes a ‘maybe?’.
deflect, project, watch media lapp up the outrage and controversy while providing no context to the irony unfolding.

risk their base’s lives, sure. kill a few (hundred thousand) with negligent malice, absolutely.
call their fallen brothers, sisters mothers and fathers “losers and fools”, of course. I mean they served their country… some of them even died… who does THAT?
But her emails. And she once called them “deplorable” … oh the horror.
Which makes you a singularly talented human being, and a hero in my eyes, matt! 
Look, it’s kind of standard to go to a person accused of something and give him or her a chance to comment on it. If the accusation is made in good faith then obviously the answer matters. If it’s made in bad faith, if it’s bullshit, like every one of Trump’s utterances without exception, it’s more of a pro forma reflexive thing. But it’s still what you do. If you go to the doctor because you have a cold, the doctor won’t say, “Why are you even here? You have a cold. You know what to do if you have a cold. Why are you wasting your time and mine?” No, the doctor will take your temperature, look down your throat, check your salivary glands, all that. It’s what doctors do. This is essentially the same thing.
Get along with you. “Trump lies all the time” is not a profound insight. It’s easy to see that he lies all the time, because of how he lies all the time.

It’d be nice if it was just lies, about his policies, his wealth, his buildings, and just about everything else.
Unfortunately, he also incites his followers against his perceived enemies, which goes a long way towards creating a truly dangerous situation for them and this country.
Well, I’ve given that some thought, and after sufficient time for reflection I’ve concluded that his followers can go fuck themselves. Don’t start none, won’t be none, but if they do I’ve always regarded myself as my own first responder. 
Translation: I’m going to lose NV.
In the old days, the weather would be on a back page and you could go check.
Trump should be treated in this manner.
I think that every day and I’ll go to my grave believing Hillary Clinton would be President today if the press had stopped reporting on every throw away insanity line of Trump’s in 2016. And here we are 4 years later…
Throw it against the wall and see if it sticks. And it will stick to those who believe every word he says.
What is sad is that there are people who believe this ‘useful idiot’.
It’s the staying calm part that makes me bow before you.
Zanier by the day. But not in a fun way. Watching him basically dismiss climate change in a meeting with people dealing with epic fires was stunning. It will get cooler, just watch?

Just read a passage in a new book about him that talks about how his national security briefers saw he wouldn’t read a three-page paper but he could deal with three bullet points on a note card. Then he got to where he couldn’t pay attention past the second point. He literally cannot read three bullet points on a note card. Too hard of a slog, getting through all that information. 
When will we be able to sue trump for libel and slander, misfeasance and malfeasance?
Can we get a class-action lawsuit ramped up for 1/22/21?
