President Donald Trump wants America to believe that COVID-19 really isn’t that big a deal.
During an interview with Fox News host Sean Hannity on Wednesday night, Trump cast doubt on the World Health Organization’s (WHO) estimated 3.4% global death rate of reported COVID-19 cases.
This is Trump telling the Fox/MAGA-t audience to drink the Kool-Aid and wait for the meteor coming to collect them.

Finally ! I scoured all of my hometown papers for this story after reading about it on Twitter last night. Not only did he “downplay” the virus, he told people they should go to work if they had it & felt OK.
This should be like the story of the year;
“POTUS SAYS OK TO GO TO WORK WITH CORONA VIRUS”

Joe Bidden should just start leading now. Call press conference with a bunch of medical experts, say “Ths not my area of expertise. For the sake of yourselves and your families, please take the advice of these experts”, turn it over to the medical pro’s, and stand quietly and attentively while they speak.
Actually, he is not mistaken on this. If the denominator is ascertained cases (confirmed infections by diagnostic test), then the death rate is over 3%, but it is likely that the number of infected individuals is much larger than reported diagnoses, which would lower the effective death rate. This applies to all infectious diseases though, including the flu.
Broken clock, etc, plus still not a responsible statement at this phase of the pandemic.
