Trump employs sleazy tactics to win, and we know that the ultimate winner of a “rat race” is still a “rat.”

The distribution of smallpox infested blankets was vigorously debated before eventually losing out to lacing the municipal water supply with lead and mercury.

Who knew that it only took 4 months for a rat infestation to take control

The administration probably blames the sloppy, careless, filthy residents for the problem. Why should the government take care of it? After all, never let facts get in the way of a good narrative. I’m sure Trump will be out soon with a tweet to defend this decision as to why isn’t Cummings taking care of his constituents?

You know it’s coming.

Somehow a thread about Trump and rats seems like a made-for-each-other combination. Like bacon 'n eggs, pizza 'n beer, Titanic 'n iceberg.

I find this entire story completely unsurprising. Grover Norquist must wake up with a huge erection every morning; his dream of “drowning the government in a bathtub” is coming true.

Please, everyone is saying that this is something that Obama let happen. Before him Baltimore was a sparkling and vibrant community, so once again, Trump will have to step in and fix the problems caused by Obama, Crooked Hilary, and Sleepy Joe. You will never see anything like Trump, that I can tell you.

Baltimore properties owned by Trump’s son-in-law and White House adviser Jared Kushner were found to have rat infestation problems.

LIke almost everything Trump repeats, his source of information is anecdotal and from a family member, a FOX commentator, a Twitter follower or an insane radio host. He never quotes the actual article in NYT or the Post because he does not read - he always quotes the reaction of his evil pundit of the day.

So the man who has access to more real knowledge and the best intelligence in the world uses the same sources that anyone’s crazy neighbor or family member might. This is one of the reasons his base loves him so much - he repeats the same insanity that they hear as fact. He is one of them.

It seems odd that Toadglans would cut a program that slumlords like Kushner Properties was no doubt grifting. Is there no family loyalty anymore?

Two things going on here I think :

Cutting the funding was literally intended as retaliation against Cummings and

The GOP is very busy doing everything in its power to worsen urban areas and divert more federal funding to red areas to “make the case” that urban decay and what=not is all the result of Democratic policy and mismanagment.

I’m still waiting for a report to come out showing that red areas are paying to ship homeless people to San Francisco, LA, Portland, etc. The coverage of all that on Faux News, et al., stinks of an organized effort.

Anyone else remember the 1965 movie King Rat?
I never seen the original movie but I’m pretty sure they did a TV version with Humphrey Bogart. At least that is what I remember watching a few years later on late night TV.

End rat control funding just before your son-in-law get creamed as being the landlord for rat infested properties.

I remember the Bushie administration wanting to cut earthquake remediation funding, stating that there is no evidence that it works. “Bobby” Jindal wanted the funds to be redirected to hurricane relief. Next day, Seattle gets hit with a 6.8 earthquake and of all the old brick faced buildings those that had been remediation had little damage, others total loss of brick face.

A GOPee governing feature…
