Assaults on the truth bring together groups that normally do not think of themselves as having much in common–journalists, academics, lawyers, judges, FBI agents, intelligence agents. They are all, at their best, dedicated to finding out what is true.

Firing them right after the election achieves 2 Trump goals simultaneously:
It allows him to feel like he is “getting even”
It will make Biden’s transition that much more difficult.
So he is absolutely firing them right after the election.

Most fascists are a little more strategic about how they go about their attempt of a coup.
Stupid. Now what position does that put these 3 in? Damned if you do and damned of you don’t. Out if Trump wins and certainly out if Biden does. Freedom baby! They might as well get a few shots in and make sure they’re rep[laced by an incoming administration and not fired by a re-elected one. They have nothing to lose in sticking it to Trump. They’ve already lost it all and Trump just said so.
That is the best thing he could do for them. They will be remembered as standing up to Trump and getting fired for it. In their shoes, I would be begging him to fire me.
He damned well better not keep any ofthem on. Every Trump political appointee has to be considered a Russian mole, even in HUD. Or at least a Republican seditionist.
I’d like him to use the Trump executive order about all civil service hires needing to demonstrate “loyalty” to review the background of everyone hired into the federal government in the last four years, and get rid of the trumpanzees. Then reverse the EO and sign a law strengthening the civil service law and Hatch Act.
If he loses I imagine he’ll fire everyone but Ivanka and Jared.

Trump can fire them if he wants but that will not stop them from working with an incoming Biden administration. In fact it will just make the 3 ousted agency heads more likely to hand over information that will be used to clobber Trump after he leaves office. This is just dumb move 10,000 for Trump. Not even surprising anymore.
Of course they should be fired, if it wasn’t for them his re-election would have been a cake walk.
