When trump says “some people”, he’s usually referring to himself.
And at the end of the day, it doesn’t matter. His side will find something to complain about. We just have to be disciplined and focused in drowning out their bullshit - and make no mistake, there will be a lot of bullshit.

Fatso is working on a way to make sure his misogynistic base and clueless advisers make it their business who Biden picks and begins the smear campaign as early as possible. Biden’s advisers are doing it so let’s expect most men will be weighing in on the benefits of having a woman as Veep. They’ll conclude there are none.
In recent days a Politico report surfaced that former senator Chris Dodd of Connecticut, who is on Biden’s vice-presidential vetting panel, told donors that Sen. Kamala D. Harris “had no remorse” for her attacks on Biden while on a debate stage. One donor implied to CNBC that Harris has too much “ambition.” And former Pennsylvania governor Ed Rendell, a longtime Biden friend, told CNN that Harris can “rub people the wrong way.”

Really, Biden could choose ANY woman – it could be Nancy Reagan’s ghost! – and the GOP slime machine would depict her as a cat-'o-nine-tails wielding bull-dike who wants to throw you in the gulag if you don’t raise your kids gay.
The Dems better be ready. OTOH, they probably don’t quite know how to address suburban moms, much less waitress moms without sounding preachy and sanctimonious. Probably the Lincoln Project would do a better job with a scorched-earth ad depicting Trump as a would-be tough guy who validates his fake he-man status by “picking on girls.”
