If Trump was staggering down the street, aimlessly sick, this would be the part in the movie where Atticus Finch put him down as Scout and Jem looked on.
My guess is that he only has a reptilian brainstem – constantly in fight or flight mode, and incapable of understanding complex concepts. And reading.
Yeah, Wall Street slammed him by dropping the Dow. Only language he understands.
What he hasn’t figured out is that even Big Business is getting tired of this shit and yearning for some stability.
Ain’t gonna help his numbers one bit but I am damned glad for the folks at the hurting end of the scale that they are getting something, so miniscule it may be.
This is all about the stock market. While he may have been addled when he announced he was ending negotiations - to the surprise and dismay of many people both Rep & Dem - once he saw the immediate negative effect on the stock market this was predictable.
That said, he did put the D’s in a position of power again. It will be interesting to see what becomes of this reversal.
His instability is getting worse. Seriously. His enablers have even less control over his episodes than before. The next few months (until he leaves office) will get quite messy as his sycophants will see the end and fully adopt a burn and salt the fields approach.
Trump clearly had another meltdown last night on Twitter. COVID-related? Or is he worried about Wray’s 11AM press conference on a “national security matter”?
It is interesting that it seems a number of wall street/economic talking heads are starting to come out and say basically that the best outcome would be a D sweep in the elections. The instability and unpredictability is wreaking havoc. At least with a unified D government they would be able to see the playing field again, and get an idea of a game plan for moving forward.
So Moscow Mitch fully endorsed Dumbass Don’s decision on halting negotiations…does he now, somehow, support continued negotiations?
At what point do GOP leaders just say “f#ck it, I cant keep reversing myself every hour”?
