When I was a boy the famous saying was “I would rather be dead than red.” Most of the people who said that are long dead. The cold war ended and nobody believes in communism anymore. I am not sure a red scare will work with modern living Americans.

As if he needed any encouragement — Trump-aligned groups are reportedly preparing to ask Federal Communications Commission Chair Brendan Carr to pull the broadcast television licenses for Disney-owned stations, something that Carr has already been threatening to do as part of his full-scale retribution crackdown on Trump critics in the media.

Millions, probably billions, of people for the last 250 years didn’t know that. American presidents, conservative experts and legal scholars have noted the exactly wrong thing generation after generation. Heck, they even wrote it the wrong way in the Constitution. This is what our Founders meant.
