He’ll tell us Putin told him that he wasn’t involved, and Trump doesn’t care if he was. Kashoggi’s death didn’t matter to him either. To Trump, these things are like the price of doing business. No big deal, and if he could do it himself, he’d be bringing it to a neighborhood near you.

Yes, I believe it is: it was part of the reporting in the last week, along with Rosenstein’s limiting Mueller to a criminal investigation and running interference between FBI and Mueller about the fact that there was no longer a counter-intelligence probe.
