In a predictable turn of events, President Donald Trump unleashed his anger at his short-lived communications director Anthony Scaramucci, who went on CNN Monday morning to advocate for Republicans replacing the President on the 2020 ballot.
First Fox News turns out to have a legitimate polling operation and now this. (Scaramucci was only a coffee fetcher for us…as you know, the WH has 4 actual staffers and 450 people to fetch coffee.)
Funny, the people he always chooses to “blast”, when there are so many people to “blast”.
It almost seems like there is this mysterious, unknown entity who is inspiring these sick, racist individuals to do these horrendous acts. How will we ever find out who it could possibly be?
Perhaps the NYT can send a gaggle of fearless reporters to interview some Rascal-riding, economically-anxious palefaced patriots congregating in local diners out in the hinterlands and ask their opinions of this whole affair.
Once on “The Simpsons,” after they hadn’t had any plot elements for a long time that involved the nuclear power plant, Bart asked Homer if he even had a job any more. That’s how I feel when Trump starts up about his critic du jour—he’s not even pretending to do any work at this point.
So what’s the big deal? Scaramucci is a nut job. With millions of tweets the law of averages says he was bound to get something right eventually. I must say, though, that he’s given the law of averages a run for its money.
If TPM has to use a tweet by Trump attacking the Mooch as a way to begin focusing on the issue of Trump’s rapid cognitive decline I’m OK with it.
In any case, I actually agree with what Mooch is saying here—the underlying claim anyhow. I believe that Trump’s worsening dementia is going to prevent him from running for re-election. That’s my prediction and I’m sticking with it (unless of course I’m proven wrong, in which case I will quietly withdraw it).
