This morning, my wife noted that Loomer was trending on Twitter and wondered aloud if she had been announced as a speaker at the RNC convention.
No(t yet).
The right-wing has no problem going further and further batshit crazy to the right when a seat seems a bit vulnerable; and the crazier the candidate, the more likely the primary win. The Dems refuse to move to the left…ever; it’s always further to the right for Dems. Just once, it’d be nice to see someone fight for truly progressive/liberal policies. Ain’t gonna happen.
Can we please dispense with the “conspiracy theorist” moniker? There is no theorizing going on there, no testing of hypotheses. It’s all just stark raving madness.
ETA: I should say that it’s not all stark raving madness. Much of it is just making up transparently dumb shit to contradict objective reality because objective reality is contradictory to their preference.

Oh, and there was the time she traveled to Minneapolis with Jacob Wohl to investigate Ilhan Omar & the Somali “invasion” of the Twin Cities and the no-go zones. Or something. Anyway, they didn’t bring coats. To Minnesota. In February.
Right–and they failed to find burnoose-wearing guards armed with scimitars to bar their entrance from said zones. Something of a bust, all the way around.

Plutocrats have never shied away from bringing onboard crazy racists and their ilk. They think they can control them, and it frequently doesn’t work - like in 30’s Germany.
And ‘freedom of speech’ means never having to be honest or have any consequence for foisting all this garbage into society. It’s a fatal flaw. Our only way to sanction them is for private carriers to censor these trolls, which is a far-from-ideal remedy. Facebook refuses to do anything. 
The question is whether it’s better to run against Loomer or run unopposed. You could make arguments either way. One is that from what I’ve read, Loomer may be more than a conspiracy theorist, she may be genuinely unwell.
It’s hard when the entire world does not conform to your lunatic version inside your head.
Yes, her record of “public service” consists of a series of self -serving stunts and mindless provocations.
Fear not, this showy bloom will soon be plowed under by Lois Frankel.
