While the headlines from Tuesday night were largely gobbled up by the Kentucky gubernatorial upset and Democrats’ clinching of the General Assembly in Virginia, a blue tsunami also splashed across the Philadelphia suburbs in a telling trend.
Can I get a hoooraaaah! So ready for this disaster to be over so we can push the much and the mud and do something useful and progressive! I feel that people need to get the bad taste out of their mouth and hopefully, just maybe they will take matters in their own hands and vote!
I think PA and VA are really good signs for 2020. We can’t take it for granted but, this continued shift (2018, 2019) in Suburbs is a really good sign for 2020 IMO
Well, that’s three repudiations of Trump in just this past week alone. First came the vociferous booing at the Nationals game, followed soon after by booing at the UFC event in NYC. Then, Kentuckians essentially gave him the raspberry yesterday by ignoring his entreaties during the previous nights rally.
Poor fellow. I do hope that football game in Alabama on Saturday between two schools in the Deep South works out for him. But, if not, I have a suggestion. If I were on his staff, I’d look into one of those illegal cock fights in some guy’s backyard somewhere in rural Oklahoma. Now that is definitely his scene.
Thanks for highlighting the big story, along with VA legislative races. bashers beat Bevin, but he did so due to winning the Cincinnati suburbs while keeping down the margin in rural areas. Same trend in va and in pa suburbs, where the racist party got killed.
Message here’s is the same message as in 2018 - run center left candidates and win. As I keep saying, if you want a counter example look at Kara Eastman running in nb-2 which did not go so hot…
I expect of flurry of bills to limit voter registration and new residency requirements from Republican legislatures with high Democratic turnout areas.
Conversely, I also expect to hear chatter about bestowing voting rights to livestock and bales of hay.
The county in Kentucky where Trump had his rally had a dramatic increase in Democratic voter turnout.
If even his rallies become, at best, neutral for him, he’s in trouble. That’s the only thing about the job he truly enjoys. Well that and 24 hour availability of Big Macs. When you’re a President, they let you eat anything.
