After repeated pledges never to relent, he caved after one week. He now looks like an even bigger fool and menace on the international stage than he already did which is a feat of some magnitude. I also doubt he undid the damage he’s done to himself domestically as a custodian of the nation’s prosperity. Perhaps most of all he looks weak, reckless and stupid - JM

We woke up yesterday to the futures markets crashing. Then Trump posted “be cool” and then “this is a great time to buy.” Then, a few hours later, he posted that he had paused many of the tariffs on the world (but raised tariffs on China). The announcement of a “pause” pumped the market in ways that resemble a “pump and dump scheme.” In my opinion, there is market manipulation taking place. We will be fearless in our reporting of the market manipulation regardless of what Trump threatens to do to us.
The stock market now resembles a Trump “meme coin” or his other scams of the past.
