Now perform the Herculean task of ‘splaining this to his Fox-fed followers.
Easier to clean the Augean stables – and metaphorically, an equal task.
Go ahead, mon ami, I’m watchin’ ya.
I sense he’s probably finished, but won’t be comfortable until it happens.
NYC indictments. Can Mein Kampf be far behind?
Elmo ain’t right in the head.
Apparently, neither Biden nor Harris will speak on this. This anecdote was quoted in Heather Cox Richardson’s letter this morning at the close of Harris’ trip to Africa:
In the last stop of her Africa visit, Vice President Kamala Harris today was in Zambia, which co-hosted this week’s Summit for Democracy. Neither Harris nor Biden will comment in any way about the impending indictment of the former president. At a press conference in Zambia’s capital, Lusaka, today, a reporter from the Wall Street Journal reminded Harris that she had “spoken about democracy and the rule of law at every stop in Africa,” and asked her to comment on news of the indictment.
When she declined, Zambian president Hakainde Hichilema stepped forward. “[L]et’s remove names from your question,” he said.
“Let’s put what we decided we will do to govern ourselves in an orderly manner. First, our constitutions, bedrock law. Then, secondary laws, other regulations create a platform or framework around which we agreed, either as Americans or as Zambians, to govern ourselves. And so, to live within those confines.
“And when there’s transgression against law, it does not matter who is involved. I think that is what the rule of law means.”
And this is the message the US must send on this and the other cases pending against TFG. Keep our eye on the ball, please.
And that may be true until the specific charges in the indictment come out, let alone the remaining pending revelations in GA and such.
Right now, it’s more real than it’s been, but not real enough for many.
The press never pushes back. Not only do they not push back, they will repeat the nonsense over and over again until it becomes bedrock truth.
Problem here is, yes, who IS going to cause the violence? So far, no one has even remotely stepped up. Could it be the J6 incarcerations for years per sentence might be a deterrent?
It apparently is if you can benefit from the clause more than you can from 2A.
I hope Governor Sarah is just as thankful and humble.
You know, I was thinking. Often times, when bad things like this happen in States, the Right will always come out and holler about the lack of prayer and Christian behavior that more likely brought this on (remember back to Katrina and New Orleans).
In the past few weeks, Arkansas has passed and signed into law all sorts of objectionable bills that don’t reflect the Christian faith.
I have to wonder if G-d is telling them something…
There’s no upside for President Biden to be involved in tfg’s cases. Republicans are in permanent conflict with the idea of representative government. The effort they are putting into defending tfg’s criminal career is energy they don’t have to obstruct the Biden administration. You can distract zombies for a while but in the end, they just keep coming back to eat your brain.
One twitterer named that stretch of bridge leading to the compound as–
The Lost Cause-way
They all think THEY’RE Trump. He is a cult-leader who has deputized a cadre of morons, misfits, and malcontents. Including sitting members of congress, and some R-governors.
They’re now flying without fig leafs, or a clue.
And the best thing about it: Even Trump now is clueless as to what’s happening to him. He’s done everything before, having to do with the law (even two impeachments), but NEVER been a criminal defendant.
And all of his minions are screaming bloody murder, but NONE of them are saying he isn’t guilty.
They all thought (as some here did) that he would never ever be indicted…
So far (AFAIK) only one of those people here has admitted they were wrong and that takes courage.
It would take a couple billion dollars, a TV network and 2 decades I won’t get (being an old fart already) to 'splain to the cult how misguided they are. The delusion took that long to come to fruition courtesy of Mr Murdoch over at Fox.
Fox… remember when the tag line was “we report, you decide”??
Yes, courage and character.
When I heard Bragg was “pausing” the case for a month, I very nearly became one of them.
I was on the precipice, myself.
So, I know how they must have felt.
Here is a good monologue on character:
.
And this, to wash the seriousness out of our souls (from the same movie):
.
Rachel Maddow had as a guest last night one of the DOJ prosecutors who investigated Agnew. According to him, he and his fellows wanted to prosecute Agnew – and DOJ would have. But Eliot Richardson deemed it more important to get Agnew out of the line of succession as quickly as possible (trying Agnew would have taken many months). So they made a deal with Agnew that he would resign as V-P and never hold public office again in exchange for his not being charged with most of the crimes for which they had voluminous evidence.
This is why I’m hoping the next criminal case where indictments drop is on the classified docs. It could show he was holding and possibly exposing to people not qualified to see it, docs on critical national defense information. Nuclear secrets about the US or other countries, information about our black budget weapon plans, maybe even exposing our agents overseas. All of this requiring massive cleanup by the intel agencies at taxpayer expense.
This NYC case is about financial crimes that are easy to hand-wave as “they all do it.” Shit gets real with the classified docs. And also the J6 fake electors scheme, but that has a lot of moving parts and won’t be as easy for the public to understand.

Biden.
Pence.
They all do it.
That will be Fox’s “defense.”
Except for that pesky obstruction of justice part, of course…
